We need all hands on deck today. Late last night, the House added some funky amendment to an election bill that will be the final death blow to our elections if it's allowed to pass.

We're gathering details and we'll put a call to action out later today. Just be ready to call and email your Reps when the 'CALL TO ACTION' goes out.

SB224 is dead for today. Great work mobilizing quickly!!

Please take the time to read through the document posted in the prior post and understand the amendments that they've stuck into this bill and why they are bad. It's all included in the attachment.

Many thanks to Jessica Wood from York County. She was the one that put all of that together.

Those amendments will be the talking points for us moving forward. The Uniparty will most likely try to stuff those amendments into another bill sooner rather than later.

Continue to reach out to your Senator and House Rep letting them know NOT to vote for any bill that might include these changes.

Hubby and I just got mail-in ballots that we didn't request. To be fair, we did do mail-ins for the primaries, but I KNOW I didn't request to be put on the automatic list to receive them in the fall...

But mail-in voting is completely secure. 🙄

If this happens to you and you don't want to vote by mail, take the entire thing with you to the polls and surrender it. You can then vote in person without having to vote provisionally.

Word travels fast.

My election director just called me because he saw the above post. He wanted to tell me that due to "human error", my husband and I were put on the automatic mail-in ballot list, but that he would correct the error and he apologized sincerely.

My experience has been that many people in those positions are working their fannies off to have clean elections, so developing good relationships with them is not a bad idea. They are not even elected officials. They are hired by the County Commissioners. The County Commissioners or County Council in some cases, are the ones we elect who call the shots at the local level.

Update on the Speaker Vote:

They voted by secret ballot on whether to keep Jordan as the nominee or not. That vote failed. So, Jordan is not the nominee any long. They are reconvening in a forum or conference again Monday. I'll keep you all updated as I learn more.
