when you’re the auth layer, you can provide a lot of abstractions on top. that’s why I think backend as a service makes more sense if it starts from auth, than a database. ideally, you shouldn’t have to care about the database.

i became a swe because i wanted to build one specific project so badly. and every advancement in my career so far has been because i wanted to build something ambitious, outside my skill set but something i really wanted to exist. based on my experience, build ambitious things. in almost all cases, something good will come out of it.

i wake up at 5, take a cold shower, meditate, go to the gym and work out for an hour, then take another shower this time not cold. after that, i read for 30 minutes. then i journal my thoughts, set my goals for the day, and practice gratitude. before starting work, i avoid social media, do some deep focus work for a few hours, and make sure to visualize Success.

I'd rather not answer the specifics, but I've never had a crazy high paying job. But, I did have 4 jobs at once at one point including full-time remote job.
