Video Quality Selection

In the Beta version of Telegram for Android 11.3.0, the feature for selecting video quality during playback and saving to the gallery has been improved and refined.

Now, videos that support quality selection display labels showing the file size and download status.

Additionally, users can now enable automatic video looping from the settings menu.

Edit Time for Messages

In the Beta version of Telegram for Android 11.3.0, users can now view the time a message was last edited. To do this, simply open the context menu by tapping next to the message.

Adding Media When Editing Messages

In the Beta version of Telegram for Android 11.3.0, users can now add a single media item to a text message while editing it.

However, it’s still not possible to remove the only media item from a message.

Local Hashtags in Channels

In the Beta version of Telegram for Android 11.3.0, channels now have local hashtags.

Such tags have the format #android@betainfoen. When you click on it, the application opens a search not in all public channels and chats, but only in the current channel.

When the user uses a regular hashtag in the input field, the application displays a tooltip. In it, the user can choose which hashtag he wants to insert into the message: regular or local.

New Ways to Change Video Speed

In the Beta version of Telegram for Android 11.3.0, users have access to an updated slider for controlling video playback speed.

In addition, users can now rewind videos at any speed. To do this, you need to tap anywhere on the screen with the video, and then, without lifting your finger from the screen, swipe left or right to decrease or increase the speed. After the user releases their finger from the screen, the video starts playing again at the speed set using the slider.
