Quickly add and remove emoji packs

In Beta version of Telegram for Android, you can now add and remove several sets of emojis that were used in a message, all at once.

To quickly add all the sets (or some of them) present in the text, you need to expand the menu by clicking on the bubble, and then go to the list of used emoji sets.

Reminder: The vast majority of custom emoji packs are available only to Premium users.

Creating custom emoji sets via @Stickers

In Beta version of Telegram for macOS, you can create your own emoji sets using the official @Stickers bot.

Currently, the bot does not have the ability to create sets and does not include information regarding the requirements for uploading emoji.

It is not yet known whether custom emoji packs will be available to everyone or only to Telegram Premium subscribers.

Search by emoji

In Beta version of Telegram for macOS, you now see a search bar in the emoji section that lets you search emotions.

The results will include both standard emojis and animated sets.

Free custom emoji playground

In the Beta version of Telegram for Android, users without a Premium subscription can test animated emoji in the Saved Messages.

You still cannot use such sets in other chats without a subscription.

Multiple animated emojis in a single post

In the Beta version of Telegram for Android, the way the app displays multiple emojis in a single message has been improved (with the “Large Emoji” option enabled).

Now, if a message contains two or more emoji, they will become animated. Previously, this rule only applied to a single emoji.

Also, large emoji are not in the message bubble anymore.

Alternative payment methods

In the Beta version of Telegram Desktop, you can now make in-app purchases (through the Payments 2.0 platform) and purchase Premium subscription not only with a bank card, but also with PayPal and Cheque services.

Currently it is impossible to pay with these payment methods — this functionality is at the testing stage.

Suggested animated emojis

The Beta version of Telegram for Android got a new "Suggest Animated Emoji" toggle.

This toggle allows you to enable the recommendation of animated emojis when selecting static emojis in the emoji menu.

In addition, the "Emoji" tab has been improved: now all animated sets that are not added to the user's collection are displayed in a separate "Trending Emoji Packs" list.
