New Gift Privacy Settings

The beta version of Telegram for Android 11.9 now allows users to customize the types of gifts they want to receive from other users.

The app allows you to allow or prohibit the following types of gifts:
• Limited-Edition gifts
• Unlimited gifts
• Unique gifts
• Telegram Premium subscriptions.

In addition, users can now enable the display of a gift icon to the right of the message input field in private chats.

New Chatbots Permissions

In the beta version of Telegram for Android 11.9, users can flexibly configure the rights of chatbots from the “Telegram Business” group of features.

The following settings sections are available:
• Manage Messages
• Manage Profile
• Manage Gifts and Stars
• Manage Stories

To see the settings of the chatbot rights, you must first add it in the “Telegram Business › Chatbots” section. The feature is available only to Telegram Premium subscribers.

Group Calls With E2E Encryption

Users of the beta version of Telegram for Android 11.9.1 may now participate in group calls with end-to-end encryption.

To create a group call, navigate to “Calls › Start New Call” from the drawer and tap “Create Call Link”. The application will create a link to the group call in the form of www.tg-me.com/call, which you need to send to the users you want to invite to the call.

Group call participants have the following options:
• Muting the microphone
• Broadcasting the main or front camera
• Adding new participants to the call (taking into account their privacy settings) and sharing the call link
• Minimizing the call screen to allow them to use the application while in a call

End-to-end encryption protects group calls from eavesdropping: all call data is encrypted so that only call participants can decrypt it.

Reselling Collectible Gifts

Users of Telegram Beta for Android 11.11.0 (5922) now can list their unique gifts for sale. To do this, simply open one of your collectible gifts, tap the “Resell” button, and set your desired price.

When you list a gift, other users will be able to see it and purchase it at the price you've set. You'll receive 80% of the sale price, with the remaining 20% going to Telegram as a fee.

To remove a gift from sale, open it and tap the “Unlist” button.

Currently, this feature is only operational on the test server.

Filters For Purchasing Collectible Gifts

Together with the option to resell collectible gifts, Telegram for macOS Beta shipped a filter option on the “Resale” tab.

When choosing a gift, user can sort them by:
• Model
• Backdrop color
• Backdrop symbol
• Price, number and listing date.

Autotranslation of Posts for Boosted Channels

In the Beta version of Telegram for macOS 11.9.272252, a new feature was discovered for channels with boosts.

Now, when a channel reaches level 3, the reader can enable automatic translation of posts, even if they do not have Telegram Premium.

For those who have a subscription, autotranslation remains available regardless of the channel level.
