Unigram 8.3 Is Testing Out Windows 11 Redesign

Telegram app for Windows 10+, alongside minor design tweaks, is testing out a Windows 11 style redesign by using the new component of Microsoft's design language — Mica.

To try it out:
• Open Settings.
• Scroll down to the app version. Click it 10 times in a row.
• In the newly-opened menu, enable the "Mica" flag.

Reactions in Telegram for macOS

In Beta-version of Telegram for macOS, you can see partial support for reactions.

Now you can only put the reaction that other users have already left — for example, through client for Android from competition. In future versions, the ability to set any available reactions will be added.

At the same time, in the group chat you can see who and which reaction was put on the message.

Also, you can disable reactions in your channels and groups, or allow only some of the emojis.

Formatting text to hide information

In Telegram for iOS Beta, spoilers have appeared, that allows you to hide the text under the noise animation. Clicking allows you to see the hidden information.

From older versions of applications, the text behind the spoiler is displayed as normal, without formatting.

Snow in Telegram

In Telegram for iOS Beta, you can see snow in the chat. It can be enabled in the debug menu of the messenger settings.

To do this, you need to make 7-10 clicks on the gear, and turn on the "Snow" item.

Reactions on iOS

Following macOS, Telegram for iOS Beta now supports reactions.

Users can leave one of the 11 available reactions to any message. In groups, you can see a list of people which reacted and the exact reactions they used.

Users can also get quick reactions by double-clicking on a message.

At the same time, you can disable reactions in your channels and groups or allow only some of the emojis available.

Unigram keeps working on redesign by gradually updating some parts of the app.

In this build, the Settings got updated icons: now they are designed in Windows 11 style and have a hover animation.

Besides that, tray icon was added in version 6775, though Unigram can't work in background when you close the window yet (but you will still receive notifications).

Unigram has updated to version 8.3.6814

In this build, Unigram got animations for typing statuses in chats pane and particularly added a formerly missing animation for the "choosing a sticker" message.

Laughing and crying reactions were disabled

"😂" and "😭" reactions were disabled in all chats and channels. Likely, Telegram is going to replace these with different emojis representing laugher and crying.

If you will try to turn these reactions back on, changes won't be applied.
