Mommy turned 85 two days ago. I get both my tough & relentless side and my (relative) gentle side from her. She has dementia now. I hope somewhere inside she realises how much I appreciate everything.

I wonder what Turkish President Erdogan's mission is in northern Syria. Is he looking to take a few territories in retaliation for the Istanbul attack? Or is he gunning for the entire border area right up to Qamishli? The latter would virtually guarantee his re-election bid.

Protests are growing in Idlib, Syria. Protesters are calling for HTS to be toppled. I say that Jolani’s toppling and any other bad actors in northern Syria too is not enough! We now need a clear path to establishing the system of governance so many fought and died for since 2011. I repeat: Sacking Jolani is not enough! Without a plan then another Jolani will simply take his place.
I’m calling on the people to check out the Justice Covenant and support it.

The 13th anniversary of the Syrian revolution is coming up next week and torture and injustice is rampant. It’s time now to get tough. Enough is enough!

The notorious Abu Maria Qahtani who was HTS strongman Abu Muhammad Jolani’s top henchman has been released from prison after being cleared of spying charges. Idlib, Syria has seen large demonstrations demanding an end to Jolani’s rule. Jolani was exposed 2 weeks ago after a graveyard full of unmarked graves wherein are believed to be the bodies of detainees.

It was great meeting Shaykh Abdul Aziz the other day at an event celebrating a truce between warring tribes. Those who want to work for the benefit of the Ummah seem to be emerging to the forefront.

Shaykh Abdur Razaaq Al Mahdi, Shaykh Abu Malik, and Bilal Abdul Kareem. As long as there are people willing to work to achieve the goals set back in 2011 then this revolution will succeed Insha Allah. It might take time, it might hurt, but we will get there Insha Allah.
