It's a small world.
Stumbled upon Shekhar Kapur's Wikipedia page which I came by because of Bandit Queen, I learned he was once married to Medha Gujral, the niece of IK Gujral, a former short-term Prime Minister of India. Shekhar is also the nephew of Dev Anand. In 3 Idiots, Farhan's father was played by Parikshit Sahni, who happens to be Dev Anand's brother-in-law.
There's also an interesting connection between Satyajit Ray and Kishore Kumar, as Kishore Kumar was Satyajit Ray's nephew-in-law through his first marriage. Which means Kajol is a distant relative of Satyajit Ray. I was surprised to find out that Riddhi Dogra is the niece of Arun Jaitley.
Are there any other relationships that make you think, "what a small world"?

Rani was the real red flag in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani
Rewatched this yesterday didn’t like it the first time. Was better this time but I have so many problems with Rani!
Rani was such a snob. She didn’t even try to understand Rocky’s family or where they were coming from. The moment she stepped into that house, it was all judgment, sarcasm, and moral superiority.
He broke up with her because she was using him as a fling and then she forced him because she was lonely by banging into his car?? Imagine if genders were reversed.
Rocky literally bent over backwards to fit into her world. He and his whole family changed. Rani? She mostly lectured.
Everyone bends to fit Rani’s idea of “right.”
And Jaya was a woman who survived in a deeply patriarchal setup. Married to a cheater husband, running the family business, holding everything together in a world that gave her zero respect. At 80 if your husband is still whoring around who is supposed to accept it?
The film kept pretending to be about “understanding each other’s worlds” but honestly it felt like everyone just had to change to meet Rani’s standards of what’s acceptable.
Feels like KJo just wanted to say punjabi families are patriarchal and bad?
