From 'Laapataa Ladies' to a lead role in a Sajid Khan movie is one of the weirdest career moves I've seen.

Why did Kareena lie in this interview with Gillian Anderson? It was so strange when hearing her say that I never did intimate scenes when there are plenty of scenes of her!

Two much with Akshay Saif Kajol Twinkle
Quick thoughts after watching:
1. Twinkle seems to be fed up of her marriage and has stopped pretending - she disses it openly
2. Akshay isn’t an intellectual, to put it politely.
3. Kajol has a contagious laugh and is probably fun to have around in a group but she doesn’t know how to host
4. Twinkle has a set of rehearsed lines which she has to utter during the show but comes across as super fake. Kajol is on the other extreme - it’s clear she doesn’t prep at all and just tries to wing it.
5. Twinkle & Kajol clearly have trauma from bollywoods ageism towards women, but they need to realize the rest of society isn’t like that. The average 50 yr old man and woman isn’t really thinking of “tight skin and tight boobs”. Her questions clearly show they live in a Bollywood bubble with a ton of insecurities but it’s so unrelatable to others.
6. Saif had maximum personality and charm on the show - humor, self-effacing, saying the right thing at the right time. Classiest of the lot by miles.

Shot an Ad today with an A-list actor… and he flat-out refused to learn his lines 🤦♂️
Shot an ad today with an A-list actor and the guy straight up refused to learn his lines. His boy goes, “prompter laga ke rakho.” Like bro… really? It’s a 1–2 line ad. You can’t memorize that?
And the worst part is that it shows. You can literally see it on camera when someone’s reading off a prompter. That tiny eye movement, that lack of connect, looks so bad. I’ve seen so many ads lately where it’s so obvious they’re reading. It kills the whole feel of the performance.
I get it if it’s a long dialogue or some technical jargon, but this was literally a few lines. How hard is it to just go through them a few times before the take?
Anyway, I just had to rant. I swear sometimes the “A-list” attitude comes with zero basic effort.

My two cents on Deepika and Kalki 2
There’s really no issue with her asking for 8-hour shifts. That’s a completely reasonable ask. At the same time, the producers are within their rights to say they can’t make that work. They couldn’t find common ground, so they decided to part ways. As simple as that. What wasn’t necessary, though, was the paid media jumping in to push this narrative that she’s “unprofessional” for wanting those work hours. Now some might argue that acting is not a 9-5 job. Who said that she is asking for 9-5? 8 hrs could also mean 11pm to 7 am or 3 am to 11am.
Up until this news broke, everyone who’s worked with her has only ever described her as highly professional. Realistically, if she commits to 8 hours, she’ll be there for those 8 hours, unlike certain “superstars” who make entire crew wait 10 hours before showing up. Now that’s unprofessional. If she had started shooting and then demanded shorter hours, that would be a different story but that’s not what happened here. As far as I am aware, when she committed for Kalki 1, there was no talks of Kalki 2.
As for the fee hike, although she has drawn top salaries for actresses, she’s also taken pay cuts when budgets are low. She did that for Piku and, if I’m not mistaken, for Finding Fanny too? Now, Kalki 2 reportedly has a budget of ₹700 crore (according to IMDb). She was paid ₹20 crore for the first one, so a 25% hike would make it ₹25 crore. Is that really unreasonable?
I’m not even comparing her to Prabhas as his opening day numbers are in a league of their own. But you mean to tell me they can’t allocate even 3% of their total budget to their leading lady? That’s laughable, especially since she played such a key role in the first film. From what I’ve heard, parts of Kalki 2 were already shot alongside the first one, probably the part where her character gives birth, so maybe that’s why they feel she’s replaceable now. Ironically, they have no problem paying ₹9 crore to the body double of a male lead who’s already earning ₹150 crore.

Apparently this is why she is there
So apparently A. Panday wasn’t just hanging out with Kendall, Jennie, and the rest of that crew for fun. The real reason she’s there is because she’s been selected to walk the runway for Victoria’s Secret.
Everyone thought she was just attending events and doing the usual influencer stuff, but looks like she’s actually making a huge international move. If this is true, she might be the first Bollywood actress in a while to do something this big in global fashion.
