It has been one year since the CCP coordinated global disruption of the “Global Solidarity with Hong Kong” events. 一般政策喺由政府高級官員實施，國會停咗都唔會影響到政策通過㗎！Sanctions, immigration needs to be done by the executive branch; which does not get affected by prorogation, meaning it can still pass.
所以呢個暑假， 我哋需要對加拿大政府加強施壓，叫佢哋盡快通過制裁同移民政策！
During the summer, we need to put pressure on immigration and sanctions.
嚟緊九月我哋就需要著重教育加拿大政客有關香港嘅情況，咁先可以：
We also need to educate our politicians so when September rolls around, we can:
1. 拎夠票數通過動議
2. 爭取足夠支持以免政策被阻截
3. 爭取足夠支持以便委員會有效實施政策
1. Get enough votes to pass motions
2. Get enough support to not have policies blocked
3. Get enough support to have committees to be effective.
所以呢個暑假， 我哋需要對加拿大政府加強施壓，叫佢哋盡快通過制裁同移民政策！

Let us remember our fallen brothers and sisters and recall what it is that we’re fighting for. Join us for a night of remembrance, as we lay down our prayers, our despair and our anguish in a night of rejuvenation.
COVID compliance:
» Since gathering limits and fines are still in effect, participants are required to maintain physical distance, wear masks and be ready to provide contact information to the organizer (telegram handle / burner email - that you will respond to within an hr - are okay too)!
» There will be 50 people inside the vigil at any one time, with a line with social distance markers and a dedicated exit
» Hand sanitizers will be provided onsite

過往呢一年我哋已經見過大家N咁多次，但係似乎未有時間坐低吹吓水，互相認識。係時侯俾自己停一停，唞一唞，同其他手足一齊chill吓，hea 吓。我哋同時都想係呢個疫情當中，為社區做返啲嘢。所以，我哋會收集消毒洗手液捐俾市中心東區婦女服務中心。記得帶埋消毒洗手液一齊chill喇！
We’ve seen each other many times throughout the past year of protests, yet we haven’t had time to chill and have conversations. It’s time to take a day off, relax, and get to know your protest community! And what’s more -- we get to help other folks in need! We’re asking for hand sanitizers to donate to the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre, which will go directly to women in need during this pandemic. So, please bring as many hand sanitizers as you can!
下個星期一（9月7號）12點到2點我哋會喺 Harbour Green Park 戶外開餐，到時大家記得帶埋食物一齊傾吓計，吹吓水！
Just bring your food, hand sanitizers, and picnic mats and join us for lunch! Get socializing with other like-minded individuals, and do good for our community. We’ll be waiting for you at Harbour Green Park from 12 to 2 next Monday (September 7)!
