We have halted the network, ensuring that no further malicious actions can affect any accounts. It is worth noting that a very limited number of significant accounts have been affected.

Casper Association, CasperLabs and the Validators/community are actively working to resolve the issue. The network has been halted and the security breach is contained. The issue has been identified and a solution is being worked on. Further updates will be provided.

Dear Casper Community,

We want to provide an important update to the community. The Casper Validators are meeting on Wednesday 31 July 2024 at 1400 UTC. In that meeting details of the upgrade will be provided. Once the validators accept the upgrade, they will then immediately resume consensus and minting of blocks.

On 26 July 2024, a security breach was detected. The Casper Association took immediate action to mitigate further risk.

Dear Casper community,

We are happy to report that Casper has resumed consensus, and network transactions are being validated.

On 31 July 2024 at 15:18 UTC, 64 validators, representing 85 percent of CSPR staked on the Casper network, reached unanimous consent to resume validation here. The Casper network is fully operational and the security incident has been resolved, thanks to a comprehensive, decentralized effort that brought together validators, engineers and other parties.

Today marks an exciting milestone for Casper: After months of behind-the-scenes development, Casper Labs and Greyscale AI are recording the first batch of Greyscale AI training data to the Casper blockchain. 20,000 lots are being updated to Casper Mainnet today, with 280,000 additional lots expected to be deployed to Casper over the coming weeks. This is just the first step in Prove AI’s broader roll-out, and already represents a significant increase in daily transactions on the Casper mainnet.

This marks Prove AI’s first official footprint on the Casper network, ahead of its September launch. Since the spring, Casper Labs has been working with Greyscale AI, along with several additional design partners, as it develops the Prove AI governance solution alongside IBM.

We are excited to announce that Greyscale AI is now leveraging the Casper blockchain for secure AI data storage, retrieval, and governance!

Today, Casper Labs and Greyscale AI have recorded the first batch of 20,000 AI training data lots to the Casper Mainnet. Over the next few weeks, an additional 280,000 lots will be deployed, marking a significant milestone for Prove AI ahead of its September launch.
