OCTOBER 5: A FORMER SATANIC PRIEST
Blessed Bartolo Longo
Married Layperson, Tertiary, and Founder
Died: 1926
---
He was an Italian married layperson, Dominican tertiary, and founder. While still a student, he joined people who worshiped Satan. He became a satanic priest. But a Dominican priest was able to lead him back to the faith. He got married but they decided to live chastely. He propagated the devotion to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii. He founded the Dominican Sisters of Pompeii. He died in peace holding a crucifix and a rosary.
---
Blessed Bartolo Longo, help us to defeat Satan as gloriously as you did for the Lord our God who is ever glorious and who will defeat the Devil as He has always done in the end of times. Help us to marry and to be at peace with the Lord's providence. Amen.
