This happens in a historical moment where the State is closing and destroying more and more squats, selling city outskirts to private speculators, protecting landlords and the absurd rising of rent prices, as well as the massive unjustified layoffs of big and small businesses alike: more and more people find themselves in absolute poverty, homeless, and try to sleep in the streets but they can't even do that because cops and soldiers harass them and force them to move, sometimes even implementing sleep deprivation as a strategy

What happened today is but a warning to the State and the enforcers of its violence: expect resistance, expect us to fight back. And if you take away space for peaceful protests, if people can no longer appeal to empathy and basic human rights, we will have no choice but defend ourselves through violence
