خيرُ الوصيةِ تقوى الله عزَّ وجلَّ

الإنسَانُ خُلِق لِيَعبُد الله ما خُلِق للأَكل والشرب عِبَادَة اللهِ كَيف تَكُون؟ بالتعلم بتَعَلم عِلْم الدِّين لا عُذر للجَاهل

خُذْ لِنَفْسِكَ اليَوْمَ خَلْوَةً، وَلَوْ قَصِيرَةً، تُفَكِّرُ فِيهَا فِي حَالِكَ، وَفِيمَا تُؤَدِّيهِ مِنَ الطَّاعَاتِ، وَتَنْظُرُ فِي مَوَاقِفِكَ لِتَبْتَعِدَ عَنِ الْمَعَاصِي وَالْمُحَرَّمَاتِ. حَاسِبْ نَفْسَكَ: مَاذَا أَدَّيْتَ مِنَ الْفَرَائِضِ؟
وَمَاذَا قَصَّرْتَ؟
وَفِيمَا وَقَعْتَ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ – إِنْ وَقَعْتَ – لِتَتُوبَ مِنْهَا، وَفِيمَا أَنْتَ مُقَصِّرٌ لِتَجْبُرَ ذَاكَ التَّقْصِيرَ. وَكُلُّ ذَلِكَ يَكُونُ بِخُشُوعٍ وَخَوْفٍ مِنَ الله تَعَالَى، خَالِقِنَا وَرَازِقِنَا، سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى.

Take a moment today for yourself, even a short retreat, to reflect on your state, on the acts of worship you perform, and to examine your condition in order to stay away from sins and prohibitions. Hold yourself accountable: What obligations have you fulfilled? What have you neglected? What sins have you committed—if any—so that you may repent? And where are you falling short so that you may make up for that shortcoming? Do all of this with humility and fear of Allah, our Creator and Sustainer, glorified and exalted be He.
