We have just finished second stage here in Portalegre. Super, super slippery. We were in the first car on the road, so we made sure that we don't make any mistakes. We were very conservative. But OK, we still won the stage. We have a good margin for the afternoon. I think more than five minutes. But we'll see. Baja Portalegre, we never know what to expect. So still a long stage to go. But so far, so good.

The stage was all okay, we really don't know what happened with our rear, I think maybe something on the water. We didn't feel anything, we didn't hit anything. It was a good stage for us, we opened the road, it was nothing special. It was a nice stage, sometimes fast, sometimes tricky with the rocks, but we didn't make a good job and let's see. Now it starts to rain, let's see what is coming in the afternoon.

We finished the first long stage. We are very satisfied. I don't think we made any major mistakes. We drove very conservatively, because yesterday my team kept telling me all day that I have to finish it, that I shouldn't be in a hurry. So I tried to do it. I wanted to finish it and have the car in one piece. So I think I did it. The rest is still ahead of us, another 200 km, so we have a lot to do.

The first special behind us, i.e. SS2, in the nomenclature of our rally. We are at the finish line of the special, which we are very happy about. A very nice special, difficult at times, of course, because there are a lot of uneven roads here, narrow and dangerous, but at times you could go. Yesterday it was impossible to develop maximum speed, today we managed to do it, so I'm glad. We didn't have any problems with the car. Here we have a great service. We still have 200 km ahead of us, so we are looking forward to the finish line of the entire rally and the whole cycle of the European Cup, hoping to find the result we have dreamed of. Keep your fingers crossed, another 200 km and we will tell you what the final of this adventure is.

He won the prologue and SS1 yesterday, and this morning he was the fastest in SS2, which was 179.83 km long. Second day of the Baja Portalegre 500, first special of today. It was quite clean for us, we managed well, Sasha did a good job. No rain, just a few water crossings, but no problems. Second stage, about 30 minutes away, so we are excited.
-- What can you say about the track compared to yesterday?
-- Yesterday it was less rough, today it's rough with a lot of bumps, but the car managed well. We didn't push a lot on rough places, but where we could we pushed, so no problems for now.

Now we're at the second day of our race. We had a really early wake-up time today. Our exit out of Park fermé was at 7.01. It was actually dark when we left, so we watched the sunrise as we were heading to our first stage. The liaison was about 60 kilometers. The stage overall was quite well. It was a bit less bumpy than yesterday, but it went good overall. Sometimes there was water crossings where there was actually no water at all, so it was quite dry luckily we didn't experience any rain. It does look like for the third stage there will be some rain but we're looking good so far and we had no damages to the car as well.

Baja Portalegre 500, Stage 2, SS2 (FIA, SSV)
Briton Sean Haran (Polaris RZR Pro R) became the first foreign competitor to win a special stage in one of the categories at this year's Baja Portalegre 500. He encountered problems yesterday on SS1, lost almost half an hour and dropped to 21st place in the SSV classification.
But this morning, Haran took revenge for yesterday's troubles - in a hard-fought battle with Portuguese driver Gonçalo Guerreiro (Polaris RZR Pro R), he won SS2 in the SSV classification and finished third overall. Sean Haran's main goal now is to earn as many bonus points as possible for Stage 2 in the European Cup classification today and try to finish second in the FIA European Baja Cup round classification in the SSV group.
Portuguese Gonçalo Guerreiro (Polaris RZR Pro R) is still leading the race in the SSV classification and is in third position overall (only two drivers from the top Ultimate group, João Ferreira and João Ramos, are ahead of him). Interestingly, there is now a chance for a family double victory in the SSV classification - Tiago Guerreiro (Polaris RZR Pro R), Gonçalo's older brother, has moved up to second position. However, his advantage over Luís Cidade (BRP Can-Am Maverick R) is only +8.2 seconds.
SS2 (FIA, SSV)*
1. Haran S./Hales (Polaris) 2:16:48.5
2. Guerreiro G./Moreno (Polaris) +1:26.8
3. Guerreiro T./Paulino (Polaris) +2:21.0
4. Cidade/Cardoso (BRP Can-Am) +2:36.8
5. Van Den Brink/Van Heun (BRP Can-Am) +3:05.8

After SS2 (FIA, SSV)*
1. Guerreiro G./Moreno (Polaris) 3:12:22.4

STEWARDS DECISION 2
From: The Stewards
To: All Competitors / Crew members
The Stewards, having received a report and request from the Clerk of the Course (Doc 3.4), have considered the following matter, and after due deliberation determine the following:
Fact:
The Organiser reported missing information on the Road Book and on-site signage regarding transfer zone No. 3 during SS2 on stage 2 (from box 304 km 143.22 to box 309 km 147.98).
Decision:
To grant the Clerk of the Course's request to replace and allocate the time of 05:00 min for all competitors passing this Transfer Zone No. 3
Reason:
The request of the Clerk of the Course (Doc 3.4) states that the organizer reported missing informations in the Road Book of Stage 2 which caused uncertainty among the competitors.
Taking into account the Clerk of the Course's proposal, the Stewards have decided to allocate the time above to all competitors passing Transfer Zone No. 3 of SS2 (Stage 2), in order to provide equal and fair conditions for all competitors.
The decision is based on the FIA 2025 International Sporting Code ISC Art. 11.9.1., Art. 11.9.2.a and 11.9.3.j
Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

We have just finished Baja Portalegre. Provisionally, we won the race. More than 10 minutes was a proper one. Yesterday was dry, today was dry and this last stage was completely wet. So it was very difficult to drive these big cars between the trees and the mud. But ok, we had an amazing car throughout the weekend. Thank you so much to Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa and SVR and also to flip all the package was perfect this weekend we all we won all the stages so I couldn't be happier

Finally we came to the end of the Portalegre Baja 500. We won all the stages, so it was an amazing job from João and from SVR, because they made an incredible job. It's important for me to have another victory at home. It is my third one, two with João, one with Ricardo, and it's amazing, for sure, amazing feeling because this year I had my first time, my son was looking at the stage, so it was amazing for me. This is an important one for me as well.

Portuguese João Ferreira (Toyota Hilux IMT Evo) was absolutely unrivalled on both days of the race, winning the prologue and all three special stages. This combination of speed and stability earned him victory in both the overall classification (with a lead of more than 10 minutes) and the Ultimate group (with a lead of more than a quarter of an hour).
The recent vice-leader of the race, João Ramos (Toyota Hilux Overdrive T1+), suffered a misfortune on the final special stage - he was unable to finish and lost his second position in the race. As a result, another representative of Portugal, Francisco Barreto in a Toyota Hilux Overdrive T1+, finished second.
Poland's Włodzimierz Grajek (Toyota Hilux T1+) finished third in the Ultimate group standings, third in the overall European Cup round classification and second in the Ultimate European Cup standings. Baja Portalegre 500 (FIA, Challenger)
As in the Ultimate class, the vice-leader of the race in the Challenger category also suffered a disappointing failure on the final special stage - Frenchman Romuald Lasne (Can-Am Maverick X3) was unable to finish SS3. Sergei Remennik (Taurus T3 Max) finished second and also won the World Cup round in the Challenger group.
The race was a serious challenge and a big disappointment for many fast crews. We are at the Baja Portalegre 500. This is my first start in this rally, so I'm very happy that we finished it. Especially since we finished the European Cup in the 2025 season. This way we will wait for the official results and hopefully everything we planned will come true. I think so, but there is no need to talk about the results until the official information comes out. We had a bit of an adventure on the last special, because our front left spring broke.
We couldn't go fast enough. But we knew that we had to reach the finish line and that was the most important thing. The first special today was very cool, fast. The second episode has definitely more holes, and those were really brain-busting holes. The last 20 km were very cool, fast tracks, where we went despite the broken spring. We managed to go fast. It was a great pleasure. There were a lot of rallies in this season, so we are very happy with the result. The last round of the Polish championship is in two weeks.
