The second Sunday of May is Buddha Day, Mother's Day, and Tzu Chi Day. To commemorate the origins of Buddhism and express their gratitude to the Buddha for his guidance and teachings, Tzu Chi volunteers around the world would conduct the Buddha Day ceremony, inviting all, through solemn religious rituals, to pay their respects to the Buddha. By introducing the Buddha, the great awakened one of the universe, Tzu Chi members hope to make the Buddha's teachings even more widespread, thus bringing harmony and auspiciousness to humanity.

佛誕節、母親節、全球慈濟日『三節合一』浴佛典禮是每年大事，佛教徒感恩佛法的起源，感念佛陀來人間，在人間修行、覺悟而說法，救度迷茫眾生。各地慈濟人舉行浴佛典禮，用莊嚴的宗教儀式帶領大眾虔誠祈禱，讓大眾知道，有一位宇宙大覺者出現於世間，法被人間，讓佛法永恆傳續，人間時時都有祥和瑞氣。
