122. Whether you have the resources or not, always find a way to invest in yourself. Your personal growth is worth it.

123. Embrace an Abundance Mindset
I can think of numerous definitions about ABUNDANCE, but here’s one of my favorites: Investing in yourself when you’re unsure of the outcome. Whenever I hear someone ask, “But how do I know this will work for me?” I already know he or she is doomed. Those are the words of a loser.

A winner says, “I’ve done my homework, and this looks good. I’m worth it and I’m smart enough to figure out how to apply this to my life.”

The most successful people invest in learning because they know the process of learning is valuable

77% of adults between the ages of 21 and 35 overthink.

1. Self-awareness

The next time you overthink, evaluate how you’re responding to thoughts, and how they affect your mood.

What’s the primary emotion behind your thoughts?

2. Find a distraction

Look for something that can distract you from overthinking.

This can be through exercise, starting a new hobby, playing a game, or anything else.

@deepthoughts2
@deepthoughts2

Do you feel jealous, nervous, or angry?
3. Take a deep breath

Close your eyes and breathe deeply multiple times.

Find breathing exercises that you can practice regularly.

4. Meditate

Meditation can help you clear your mind and reduce overthinking.

Find a meditation routine that works best for you.

5. Look at the bigger picture

How will all the issues floating around in your mind affect you 5 or 10 years from now?

Don’t let minor issues turn into long-term problems.

6. Help someone else

Think of how you can help someone who’s going through a difficult time.

This can give you something productive to focus on, instead of your negative thoughts.

7. Recognize when your thoughts take place

Here are some ways to identify, and work through your automatic negative thoughts:

Use a notebook to track the situation that triggers your anxiety, your mood, and the thoughts that come to you automatically. As you explore the details, evaluate why the situation is causing these frequent negative thoughts.

Break down the emotions you’re experiencing, and try to identify what you’re telling yourself about the situation. Find an alternative to your original thought.

8. Acknowledge your wins
Open your note taking app on your phone, and write down 5 things that have gone right for you recently.
These can be small accomplishments and they will add up to something.

Refer back to this list when your thoughts are distracting you.

9. Stay present

Shut off your electronic devices for a specific amount of time each day.

Take a walk outside for a couple minutes and observe your surroundings.

Find something that encourages you to live in the moment.

10. Be open minded

Try to break away from your patterns of thinking and consider other viewpoints.

Take advice from people or research for strategies that challenge your thinking.

There’s a good chance that you may pick up on something which can be beneficial.

11. Take action

You might go over the same thoughts constantly because you aren’t taking any actions about a certain situation.

Can’t stop thinking about regrets or failures from the past?

Use those feelings to help you make better choices that you will feel proud of.

12. Ask for help

If you’ve tried all of these strategies and you’re still having trouble, you should seek help from a qualified therapist.

124. To be enterprising, you'll need a healthy dose of courage and creativity. Learn to feel good about yourself, and seek opportunities that will make a difference in your future.

125. Enterprise means always finding a way to keep yourself actively working toward your ambition.

You need two things to be enterprising:

👉 Creativity to see what’s out there and to shape it to your advantage. You need creativity to look at the world a little differently. You need creativity to take a different approach—to be different.

👉 Courage to be creative. You need courage to see things differently, courage to go against the crowd, courage to take a different approach, courage to stand alone if you have to, courage to choose activity over inactivity.

Enterprising People

● An enterprising person is one who comes across a pile of scrap metal and sees the making of a wonderful sculpture. An enterprising person is one who drives through an old decrepit part of town and sees a new housing development. An enterprising person is one who sees opportunity in all areas of life.
● To be enterprising is to keep your eyes open and your mind active. To be skilled enough, confident enough, creative enough and disciplined enough to seize opportunities when they present themselves. A person with an enterprising attitude says, “Find out what you can do before taking action.” Do your homework. Do the research. Be prepared. Be resourceful. Do all you can in preparation of what’s to come.
● Enterprising people always see the future in the present. Enterprising people always find a way to take advantage of a situation, not be burdened by it. And enterprising people aren’t lazy. They don’t wait for opportunities to come to them—they go after the opportunities.

4 Powerful Little Words That Make Life Worthwhile.

Jim Rohn often said, “You can have more because you can become more and unless you change how you are, you will always have what you’ve got.”

1. Life is worthwhile if you learn.
You have to have learning to exist, let alone succeed. What you don’t know will hurt you. So you have to learn from your own experiencesbnegative or positive.
2. Life is worthwhile if you try.
You can’t just learn. Now you have to try something to see if you can do it. Try to make a difference. Try to make some progress.

3. Life is worthwhile if you stay.If you have signed up for the day or for the game or for the project, see it through. Sometimes calamity comes and then it is worth wrapping it up—and that’s the end. But just don’t end in the middle. Maybe on the next project you pass, but on this one, if you signed up, stay until it’s finished—and always leave it better than you found it.
4. Life is worthwhile if you CARE.

If you care at all, you will get some results. If you care enough, you can get incredible results. Care enough to make a difference. Care enough to turn somebody around. Care enough to start a new enterprise. Care enough to change it all. Care enough to be the highest producer. Care enough to set some records. Care enough to win.

The more you care, the stronger you can be.

👉 The Mindfulness of Listening

You can increase your skills as a listener by becoming more aware of what your mind is focused on outside of the conversation. The moment you find yourself thinking about anything else other than the topic at hand, take a moment to breathe and bring your focus back. As you increase your awareness, you may notice your natural body language and tone begin to match that of the speaker’s.

As your listening starts to improve, conversations will become deeper; more involved; and sometimes even shorter in length, as the use of appropriate pauses allows the speaker to complete entire thoughts before being questioned. With the speaker doing a majority of the talking, there will be far less back and forth and more pointed questions from you, the listener.
You’ve heard this before: “If a tree falls in the woods and there’s no one to hear it, does it still make a sound?” For many people, if they don’t feel heard, they may wonder if it was even worth saying.

You Can Have More If You Become More

Here’s the great challenge of life: You can have more than you’ve got because you can become more than you are.

I have found that income seldom will exceed your own personal development. Once in a while income takes a lucky jump, but unless you grow out to where it is, it will go back to where you are. Somebody once said if you took all the money in the world and divided it equally among everyone, it would soon be back in the same pockets.

However, you can have more because you can become more. You see, here is how the other side of the coin reads: Unless you change how you are, you will always have what you’ve got. The major thing that makes the difference is what you do—it is the human effort that counts.

Productivity

Consider your day right now. What’s getting done that needs to get done and what’s not?

Do you find yourself at the end of a long day without your most important tasks completed? Do you keep pushing your long-term goals further and further into the future?

Jim Rohn said, “If you don’t produce, you won’t be happy.”

Productivity is essential to our feeling of self-esteem, accomplishment, and hopefulness. Without it, we gradually sink into a state of frustration, hopelessness, and regret.

If productivity is so important to success, it’s time to consider that while you’re probably working hard and giving it your best shot, you are the one killing your productivity.

No one else is responsible for your productivity but you. You are the one who has to get out of bed each day and decide how to spend it.

Sure, there are facts of life beyond your control, but for the most part, if the day isn’t going the way you want it to go, you are the only one who can do something to change that.

127. I approached solitude as I approach most new things in my life: with a plan. Sit quietly and find peace.

Skill

Without some level of skill in your industry, you’re not going to get far. Most people have one of two problems in this area:

They think they have more skill than they do, so they stop learning. We all meet people who think they have it all figured out, who believe in their perspective or methods to the point of being outdated, outrun, and outclassed. The question is, are you a know-it-all?

Becoming stagnant is just as detrimental to your success as not being productive. Don’t fall prey to the assumption that you’ve got nothing left to learn. Even the greatest masters have mentors. Find a mentor who has the depth of knowledge you need to guide you into further mastery.

Remember the law: -

For every disciplined effort, there are multiple rewards. Learn the discipline of writing a card or a letter to a friend. Learn the discipline of paying your bills on time, or arriving to appointments on time, or using your time more effectively. Learn the discipline of paying attention, or paying your taxes, or paying yourself. Learn the discipline of having regular meetings with your associates, or your spouse, or your child, or your parent. Learn the discipline of learning all you can learn, of teaching all you can teach, of reading all you can read.

Skill

2. They think they have less skill than they do, so they never stop learning. On the flip side, you probably know someone who is continually signing up for lectures, who is always seeking an outside view on the best way to accomplish their goals, and who is spending most of their time absorbing knowledge.

Learning is vital to our continued growth, but learning without implementing what you learn is useless. Stop storing the knowledge you absorb and start to experiment with it; listen to your inner guidance on what fits your circumstances and put to use what you’ve learned. It’s important to find a source for growth that also helps you put your new knowledge into practice and to take the time to practice regularly so you can create new habits.
