Days after 45 Palestinians were killed by Israeli airstrikes against displacement camps in Rafah, former UN Ambassador and US presidential candidate Nikki Haley wrote “Finish them!” on Israeli artillery shells.

On this day, 29th May 1453, Ottoman Sultan Muhammad al-Fatih (Mehmed II) conquered Constantinople (#Istanbul) at the age of 21, which led to the fall of the Byzantine Empire.

In the morning prior to the conquest, Sultan Muḥammad delivered his final battle speech in which he instructed the soldiers not to attack the Churches and places of worship, sparing the priests, the weak and those unable to fight in line with the Prophetic injunctions.

‎اس دن ، 29 مئی 1453 کو ، عثمانی سلطان محمد الفاتح (محدث دوم) نے 21 سال کی عمر میں قسطنطنیہ (استنبول) کو فتح کیا ، جس کی وجہ سے بازنطینی سلطنت کا زوال ہوا۔ فتح سے قبل صبح ، سلطان معظم نے اپنی آخری جنگ تقریر کی جس میں اس نے سپاہیوں کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ گرجا گھروں اور عبادت گاہوں پر حملہ نہ کریں ، پجاریوں ، کمزوروں اور ان لوگوں کو بچا. جن کو نبوی احکامات کے مطابق لڑنے سے قاصر تھے.

🇲🇾 Hari ini, 29 May 1953, Kerajaan Uthamniyyah Sultan Muhammad al-Fatih (Mehmed II) menakluk Kota Konstantinopel (Istanbul) pada usia 21, menyebabkan jatuhnya Empayar Byzantine. Pada pagi sebelum penaklukan, Sultan Muhammad menyampaikan ucapan perang terakhir, beliau mengarahkan tenteranya supaya tidak menyerang Gereja dan tempat ibadat, tidak menganggu paderi, golongan yang lemah dan golongan yang tidak berdaya berlawan selari dengan saranan Rasulullah.

🇫🇷 En ce jour, 29 mai 1453, le sultan ottoman Mohammad al-Fatih (Mehmet II) a conquis Constantinople (Istanbul) à l'âge de 21 ans, ce qui a conduit à la chute de l'Empire Byzantin. Le matin avant la conquête, le sultan Mohammad a donné son dernier discours de guerre dans lequel il avertit les soldats de ne pas attaquer les églises et les lieux de culte, épargnant les prêtres, les faibles et ceux inaptes au combat en accordance avec les injonctions prophétiques.

This is what happened to four Uyghur Muslims including a child. Aimidoula Waili, his friend Nuermaimaiti Ruze, as well as Nuermaimaiti’s former wife Buheliqiemu Abula and and her 12-year-old daughter.

If they’re deported, they would face torture, arbitrary detention and persecution. They’ll be sent to concentration camps across East Turkestan where they are forced to denounce Islam.
