Continuing the topic of Critical Thinking, let’s learn about Bloom’s Taxonomy. Bloom’s is a framework for classifying learning objectives and outcomes.
Bloom’s points out that:
1. Each level builds off the one below.
2. In order to truly learn a concept, a student should move through each of the levels.
What this video to learn more about Bloom’s Taxonomy.
Look at the words used in each of the levels. Do you find that you use far more from 1 or 2 levels than the others?
Bring this conversation to your next COP/PLC meeting and challenge each other to use Bloom’s when planning your lessons.
