"In 2019, I participated in the IVLP program. This program has changed my life forever. Because after participating in this program, I became interested in fighting fake news. Today, I and my alumni friends from Uzbekistan founded our project (Factchecking.uz). We are engaged in fact-checking information on our blog created in cooperation. Our main goal is to increase the level of media literacy of Uzbek youth"

Jakhongir participated in 3 separate programs!

"When I tell people in Uzbekistan that I travelled to Alabama to study my own culture and history, they laugh at me. What they overlook, however, is the purpose of exchange programs.

Studying in the U.S. gave me an opportunity to explore a different dimension of Uzbekistan and showed the power of knowledge. I got to know historians in the U.S. who conduct research on Uzbekistan’s history.

If it wasn't for this Fulbright, I wouldn't have learned my own identity."

Vazira from Tashkent feels her educational exchange program transformed her life.

"EdUCanUSA Academy 2019 program was truly a life-changing experience. It is not because I visited the United States of America at the age of 16, but because I explored the world, the World of Education. I always follow the quote, 'now or never.' I love challenges and they truly sharpen us."
