I'm pretty sure that this guy neither has band 9, nor cares about getting it because what he is doing is a lot more, 10x more exciting.

And you know what, there are probably millions of people in the world who haven't even heard about this exam and yet they are living the life.

Qissadan hissa shuki, we need to STOP fixating on how some of our friends or acquaintances are becoming popular (in the test world) by getting high scores and START developing new skills that can help us get there where wanna be in life.

I'm planning to attend the fair just to enjoy having a nice, friendly chat with some of the native speakers there and learn about what scholarships they have to offer.

Imagine 3 men named Paul, Julian and good old Uncle Tom.

Julian and Paul get into a violent fight. Instead of resolving the conflict, Uncle Tom gives Julian a knife and when Julian hurts Paul with that knife, Uncle Tom says to Paul and to the rest of the bystanders "I'm outraged and deeply saddened by this incident".
