رفت داروخانه تا چند تا پروتکشن بخره.


💬I made a mistake in my homework, so I used a rubber to fix it.
یه اشتباه توی تکلیفم داشتم، برای همین از پاک‌کن استفاده کردم.

در اینجا فعل deny جزو اون دسته از افعال انگلیسیه که فعل بعدش به صورت ing میاد. اما چون ما داریم از یه اتفاق گذشته حرف می‌زنیم (یعنی دزدی انجام شده بوده)، باید شکل کامل‌ترش رو بیاریم: having + past participle.

پس گزینه درست می‌شه:
a) having stolen

ترجمه جمله کامل:
«او انکار کرد که اسناد را دزدیده باشد.»

یه نکته‌ی کاربردی:
وقتی می‌خوای راجع به کاری در گذشته صحبت کنی که اون کار رو انکار یا تأیید می‌کنی، از having + past participle استفاده کن.

مثالای دیگه:
• She admitted having lied.
• They regretted having missed the train.

یادت باشه:
❌ He denied to steal the documents.
✅ He denied having stolen the documents.

I have a big exam tomorrow, so I need to hit the books tonight.
فردا امتحان سختی دارم، برای همین باید امشب حسابی درس بخونم.

اینورژن (inversion):

🖋 یکی از مواردی که می‌تونه باعث ایجاد اینورژن (جابجایی فعل و فاعل) در جملات بشه، استفاده از کلمات
neither or nor
هست:

1️⃣ در حالتی که پس از این دو کلمه، اسم/صفت/قید و...قرار داشته باشه، اینورژن انجام نمی‌شه:

• I have studied neither the language nor the culture.

👨‍🏫 اینجا بعد از nor&neither اسم قرار گرفته (نه کلاز).

• They speak neither English nor German.
آن‌ها نه انگلیسی صحبت می‌کنند نه آلمانی.

• Neither Matt nor Julie said anything.
نه مت و نه جولی چیزی نگفتند (مت و جولی چیزی نگفتند).


2️⃣ اما وقتی کلمات nor&neither در ابتدای یک کلاز قرار بگیره، اینورژن انجام می‌شه (کلاز حالت سوالی می‌گیره):

• I don’t expect children to be rude, nor do I expect to be disobeyed.
من از بچه‌ها انتظار ندارم که بی‌ادب باشند و توقع ندارم که به حرف من گوش ندهند.

👨‍🏫 اینجا بعد از norیک کلاز (که دارای یک فعل و یک فاعل است) قرار گرفته و اینورژن انجام شده.

• Tom didn’t believe a word she said, and neither did the police.
تام حتی یک کلمه از حرف‌های او را باور نکرد و پلیس هم همچنین (= حرف‌های او را باور نکرد).

• Neither is he reliable, nor is he pious.
او نه قابل اعتماد است نه پرهیزگار.

👨‍🏫 در این مثال هم بعد از neither و هم بعد از nor کلاز بکار رفته و یک جمله‌ با دو کلاز دارای اینورژن شکل گرفته.

• They couldn’t understand it at the time, nor could we.
