♨️ کاربرد خاص حرف تعریف the
👈 با اضافه کردن حرف تعریف the به برخی از صفت ها می توان از آنها اسم جمع ساخت. به عنوان مثال the good به مفهوم good people خواهد بود.
در مثال بالا گروهی از این اسم ها را داریم:

🔹The rich پولدارها
🔸The poor فقرا
🔹The wealthy ثروتمندان
🔸The dispossessed ندارها

👈 در مورد این اسم ها از افعال جمع استفاده می کنیم.
🔻 The poor are getting poorer and the rich are getting richer.
فقرا فقیرتر و ثروتمندان ثروتمندتر می شوند.

♨️ تفاوت hard و hardly
👈 کلمه hard به معنی سخت، دشوار و با جدیت است و به جهت گرامری صفت و قید حالت. پس در این مفهوم حالت قید آن مانند موارد دیگر با اضافه کردن ly ساخته نمی شود. hardly قید است ولی مانند قیود حالت دیگر نیست. این کلمه به معنی "بندرت" یا "هیج، اصلاً") است.
👈 چنانچه hard به معنی جدی و شدید باشد حالت قیدی آن severely خواهد بود.
🔹If they are caught, they will be severely punished.

⚠️ قیدهای دیگری هم هستند که با اضافه کردن ly به صفت ساخته می شوند ولی قید حالت نیستند:
🔹 frequently  قید تکرار
🔸 extremely  قید مقدار
🔹 recenly, lately  قید زمان
🔸 hardly ever  قید تکرار

❎ I tried hardly to remember where I had parked the car.
✅ I tried hard to remember where I had parked the car.
❎ It was raining hardly and we all got wet.
✅ It was raining hard and we all got wet.
❎ Society shouldn't punish these people too hardly.
✅ Society shouldn't punish these people too hard/severely.

✍ hardly = scarcely; almost not
🔹It was hardly raining at all.
🔹 I could hardly believed my eyes.

1⃣ دستور

قبل از اینکه بری اتاق رو تمیز کن.

2⃣ تبلیغات و شعارهای تبلیغاتی
🔹Save the rain forests.
جنگل های منطقه های پرباران را نجات دهید.

🔸Visit historic Bath.
از حمام تاریخی بازدید کنید.

3⃣ توصیه و پیشنهاد
🔹Why not take a year out before college. Travel around and see the world.
چرا قبل از کالج یک سال مرخصی نمی گیری؟ که یه مسافرت بری و دنیا رو ببینی.

4⃣ اخطار و یادآوری
🔹Look out. There is a car coming.
مراقب باش. یه ماشین داره نزدیک می شه.

🔸Mind you don't fall.

🔻Raise = to cause a particular emotion or reaction

این تهاجم باعث بروز خشونت فزاینده علیه خارجی ها شد.

روش انجام پژوهش باعث بروز شبهاتی درباره نتایج شد.

🔻 Rise = to increase in number, amount, or value

فروش در زمان کریسمس 20 درصد رشد می کند.

🔻Arise = if a problem or difficult situation arises, it begins to happen.

✍ کلمه advantage به معنی مزیت است، یعنی ویژگی یا خصیصه یا هرچیزی که کسی دارد و دیگری از آن بی بهره است.

یک سبک زندگی سالم تر یکی از مزایای زندگی در مناطق روستایی است.

🔅 The main advantage of using word processors is that you save more time.
مهمترین امتیاز استفاده از (نرم افزارهای) ویرایش متنی صرفه جویی بیشتر در زمان است.

🔺more + noun
👈می توان از more قبل از عبارت های اسمی استفاده کرد. در چنین مواردی کاربردی مشابه ادات تعریف دارد. چنانچه ادات تعریف (مانند حرف تعریف و ...) دیگری در عبارت وجود نداشته باشد، از of استفاده نمی کنیم. به عنوان مثال:
✅ We need more time.
ما به زمان بیشتری نیاز داریم.
❎ We need more of time.
مورد more of time نادرست است.
✅ More university students are having to borrow money these days.
این روزها دانشجویان بیشتری مجبور به دریافت وام هستند.

💥 با این وجود چنانچه more پیش از اسم های اشخاص و اسامی جغرافیایی قرار گیرد، از more of استفاده نمی کنیم.

✅ It would be nice to see more of Ray and Barbara.
خیلی خوب می شه اگه ری و باربارو رو بیشتر ببینیم.
✅ Five hundred years ago much more of Britain was covered with trees.
بیش از پانصد سال پیش بخش بسیار بیشتری از بریتانیا پوشیده از درختان بود.

🔻 more of + determiner/pronoun

👈 قبل از ادات تعریف (the, my, this,...) و ضمیرها از more of استفاده می کنیم.

✨ Three more of the missing climbers have been found.
سه نفر دیگه از کوهنوردان گمشده پیدا شدند.

✨ Could I have some more of that smoked fish?
می دونم مقدار بیشتری از اون ماهی دودی بخورم؟

✨ I don't think any more of them would want to come.
