👈 گروهی از اسم های جمع در زبان انگلیسی از اضافه کردن the به صفت ساخته می شوند. مانند the. poor, the rich, the old, the young و امثال آنها.

💥 این اسم ها جمع هستند و به همراه آنها باید از فعل جمع استفاده کرد.

👈 در عناوین کتاب ها، مقالات، نمایشنامه ها، برنامه های تلویزیونی، ترانه ها و فیلم ها اولین و آخرین کلمه ها به همراه کلمات مهم (اسم ها، افعال، قیدها و صفت ها با حروف بزرگ نوشته می شوند.

💥 حروف اضافه مانند in, on و حروف تعریف (a, an, the) در چنین مواردی با حرف بزرگ نوشته نمی شوند مگر اینکه در ابتدا یا انتهای عبارت قرار گرفته باشند یا بخش مهمی از عنوان باشند.

♨️ تفاوت های still, yet, already

👈از قید still برای بیان مواردی استفاده می شود که تمام نشده اند، در حالیکه انتظار داشتیم زودتر تمام شوند.

📌در جملات مثبت، منفی و سؤالی از آن استفاده می شود.

🔹Is it still snowing?
هنوز برف می باره؟
🔸Are you still eating fast food? I thought you stopped.
هنوز فست فود می خوری؟ فکر می کردم کنار گذاشتی.

👈 از قید yet برای بیان چیزهایی استفاده می کنیم که توقع داشتیم اتفاق بیفتند.

📌 در جملات منفی و سؤالی از آن استفاده می شود.

🔹Have you called him yet ?
هنوز بهش زنگ نزدی؟
🔸Mark hasn't finished school yet.
مارک هنوز مدرسه رو تموم نکرده.

👈 از قید already برای بیان اموری استفاده می کنیم که قبلا" اتفاق افتاده اند و اغلب قبل از موعد مقرر.

🎯 چند نکته کاربردی در مورد else

🔻 اگر else بعد از کلمات somebody, someone, something, somewhere, anybody, everybody, nobody و کلمات پرسشی. مانند whatever و whenever و کلمات little و much قرار بگیرد، معنی "دیگر" می دهد.

🔹 Would you like anything else?
چیز دیگه ای میل دارید؟

🔸 I am sorry. I mistook you for somebody else.
متأسفم شما رو با یکی دیگه اشتباه گرفتم.

🔹 Where else did you go besides Madrid?
غیر از مادرید کجا رفتی؟

🔻 عبارت or else به معنی otherwise یا if not (وگرنه)

🔻 گاهی اوقات از or else بدون دنباله برای تهدید استفاده می شود.

بهتره انقدر برادر منو نزنی وگرنه (هر چی دیدی از چشم خودت دیدی)!

🔻 کلمه elsewhere حالت رسمی somewhere else است.

♨️ استفاده صحیح از few/a few/little/a little

👈 همانطور که می دانیم از کلمات few و little در مواردی استفاده می شود که مقدار یا تعداد کمتر از حد کافی باشد و از اینرو بار معنایی منفی دارند.

🔹I have few friends. (= not enough friends)

🔸We have little milk in the fridge (= not enough milk). I should go and buy some.

💥 تنها در مورد little و few می توان از تشدید کننده هایی مانند very و so استفاده کرد.
🔹He has very little patience. He can't control his emotions.

🔸There are so few professional workforce in this department that has caused a total chaos in this section!

🎯 فرق if و whether

🔻 در کاربرد غیررسمی تفاوت زیادی بین if و whether وجود ندارد و می توان آنها را به جای هم استفاده کرد. ولی اگر می خواهید دقت بیشتری در استفاده از آنها به خرج دهید به نکته زیر توجه کنید.

♨️ از کلمه whether برای "انتخاب" استفاده می شود. یکی از موارد یا دیگری. در صورتی که از if برای "شرط" یا "احتمال" استفاده می شود.

🔹 اگر می خواهید دوستان خود را به خانه خود دعوت کنید ولی مطمئن نیستید یکی از آنها یا هر دو را دعوت کنید، از whether استفاده کنید.

➖I wasn't sure whether I would bring one or two friends with me to the party.

🔸 اگر مطمئن نیستید که یکی از دوستان یا هر دو را دعوت خواهید کرد یا شاید هیچکدام از if استفاده کنید.

❌ She is married with a doctor.

🔹 چرا؟
اگر بخواهیم در مورد اینکه کسی با چه کسی ازدواج کرده، صحبت کنیم از married to استفاده می کنیم نه married with.

👈اگر بخواهیم بگوییم که کسی در گذشته اجازه کلی برای انجام کاری را داشته (تا در هر زمان ممکن آن را انجام دهد) از could یا was/were allowed to استفاده می کنیم. با این وجود برای صحبت کردن در مورد اجازه برای انجام یک عمل خاص در گذشته می توان از was/were allowed to استفاده کرد نه could

🔹Anyone was allowed to/could fish in the lake when the council owned it.

🔸Although she didn't have the requirements, Mary was allowed to enter the competitions. (not... could enter...)

👈در جملات منفی از couldn't یا wasn't/weren't allowed to برای صحبت در مورد اینکه چیزی در شرایط کلی یا خاص داده نشده، استفاده می کنیم:

👈این ساختار بیانگر حالت علت و معلولی است و به بیان بروز حالتی تحت تأثیر عامل دیگر اشاره دارد.

☢در این ساختار از دو بخش دارای صفت یا قید تفضیلی استفاده می شود و قبل از هر یک از حرف تعریف the استفاده می شود.

🔹The more he tries, the less he gets.
هر چه بیشتر تلاش می کند، عایدی کمتری بدست می آورد.

🔸The more he practices, the better he gets.
هر چه بیشتر تمرین می کند، بهتر می شود.
