Announcement on behalf of the Palestinian factions following the Cairo meeting on the issue of the ceasefire in Gaza:
1. We have agreed to transfer the administration of the Gaza Strip to a temporary Palestinian committee, which will be composed of residents of the Strip—independent professionals ("technocrats")—and will be responsible for managing daily life in the Strip and its basic services.
2. We emphasize the need to take all necessary steps to maintain security and stability throughout the Gaza Strip.
3. We stress the importance of adopting a UN resolution regarding the temporary international force that is to be established in order to supervise the ceasefire.
4. We call for increased pressure to end the torture and violations against Palestinian prisoners in the occupation's prisons.
5. A call for an urgent meeting of all Palestinian factions under the PLO to determine a Palestinian national strategy.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance sums up his visit to Israel, thanks Prime Minister Netanyahu, President Herzog, members of the government, and the Israeli security personnel who accompanied him, and adds:
Even though it was a busy trip, I managed to make two personal stops. First, the City of David is one of the wonders of world archaeology, and although most of it is still closed to the public, they plan to open it soon. It's amazing to realize that you are walking on a path that Jesus himself walked 2,000 years ago. The people who worked to excavate and preserve this place are incredible human beings, and I am grateful to them, especially to my kind tour guides! Second, I have already posted about the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, but it bears repeating: it is the most amazing place I have ever been.
I encourage all of you to continue praying for peace!

Trump on Colombian President Gustavo Petro: He’s a thug. He’s a bad guy. He produces a lot of drugs. He has harmed our country. They have drug factories. These drugs enter the USA through Mexico. He should be careful or we will take very serious action against…
The confrontation of the President of Colombia with Trump is starting to take its toll
The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced a short time ago economic sanctions against the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, his family members, and associates due to his involvement in drug trafficking.
The sanctions pertain to Petro's assets and financial dealings with him—he has been added to OFAC's "blocked list".

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem:
We call for accelerating the process of establishing the administrative committee that will take over the management of the Strip and its reconstruction.
##
Commentary:
The administrative committee for managing the Strip / the "technocrats committee" is a tool in the hands of Hamas to show the world that it has indeed relinquished power as promised, but in reality, the situation is completely different.
Any such committee that is established before Hamas has disarmed is meaningless and even dangerous – because it will be fully controlled by Hamas behind the scenes.
The very fact that Hamas is interested in accelerating the process of "transferring power" to that committee only shows that Hamas sees it as a positive thing from its perspective – a tool to deceive the world.
The moment such a committee is established (which Hamas will hold by force of arms behind the scenes), Hamas’s partners – Qatar, Turkey, and others – will increase the pressure on Israel to fulfill its part in the ceasefire and withdraw – because supposedly Hamas has relinquished power as promised.
This is a point that must be prepared for in advance.
Expose the bluff now.
There is no value to a technocrats committee in the Strip as long as Hamas has not disarmed. It’s a show. In such a case, Hamas will continue to control the Strip through a puppet government.

Yesterday evening marked 4 days since the last time Hamas handed over bodies of Israeli hostages.
Hamas is stalling for time even though it could have handed over additional bodies in its possession.
13 bodies of hostages are still being held in the Strip.

President Trump took off last night for a visit to Asian countries.
He will visit Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea.
In Malaysia, he is expected to participate in the 47th ASEAN Conference, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur.
Trump provided several headlines to journalists on his way to the plane and during his stay on it:
The President of Colombia is a drug dealer.
We have succeeded in stopping the entry of drugs into the USA by sea. Soon, we will stop the entry of drugs by land. You will see that it will start.
I would be happy to meet with Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, during the visit to Asia. Kim knows I am coming. We have informed him.
Canada was caught red-handed lying in an advertisement (referring to Canada’s use of President Ronald Reagan’s voice against Trump’s tariff policy - AA).
