Hamas is using the return of the hostages' bodies as leverage to bring heavy engineering equipment into the Strip.

I would note that there is heavy engineering equipment in the Strip, and new Egyptian equipment (at least 12 machines) has entered in the past two days, but nevertheless, Hamas has not returned any bodies for many days.

Hamas is the same Hamas, and it has no problem cynically using the bodies of the hostages to advance its goals.

Earlier this evening, Gazan sources reported that searches were being conducted for the bodies of hostages in the area of the home of al-Jamal family in Nuseirat in the center of the Strip – from which 4 hostages were rescued alive during "Operation Arnon" on June 9, 2024.

Hamas is playing a cynical game.

The pressure on it must increase.

It is buying time to recover and strengthen its power, it is receiving engineering equipment, it is showing Israel that it does not heed its threats (games of honor), and it is not fulfilling its commitments.
