Hello guys! It's Azel here, sorry for taking a long time to give this, I've been busy for the past few days. Anyways, here's some notes/tips/guides for the speaking test. πππ
1. If you have a very low confidence during speaking, I suggest you to make a presentation in front of your classmates. Any presentation would be fine, whether it's about sports, health or any topic will do. From here, you are able to improve your speaking skills and at the same time, you can gain more confidence to speak in front of audiences.
2. If you often get lagged during speaking test, or in other words, you know what you want to say but you can't say it. I suggest you to make a note, paragraphs, scripts or elaborations about any topics that can come out during speaking test. Just do a collection of it and you can refer to it anytime for your practice.
3. For those who already have their own partner, make sure to do practices with your partner. If your partner is weak in speaking, help them.
4. Always seek help and ask for advices from your teacher, don't worry, your teacher won't eat you if you stutter a lot. Teachers are meant to guide and teach you.
5. Familiarise yourself with vocabularies and idioms. If you use vocabularies and idioms in your speaking test, there's a high possibilities that you can gain more marks. It makes your speaking skills look impressive.
6. Accent does not matter. If you use your native accent, British accent or any kind of accent, it doesn't matter. Accent does not affect your marks.
7. Remember to speak loudly and clearly during speaking test especially on the actual day of speaking test.
8. Use timer for practices, during practice, find your mistake and fix it.
9. Don't be nervous, don't be scared, don't be afraid of your speaking test. If you feel afraid, it will stop you from being confident during speaking. Just speak whatever you want and act like you own the classroom.
That's all I can say for now, if you have any trouble with speaking test, comment below okay.

Y'all don't have to worry about examinations or any test that is coming up. Examinations are meant to test your raw skills and if you failed, you still have more time to fix your mistake. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day. It means, if you want to achieve more in examinations, it takes time and effort, they don't happen overnight. Stay focus on yourself and your personal growth and achievement. Love and prioritise yourself than others okay.

Hello and good afternoon, everyone! Azel's here! In this message I would like to share my tips and advice on how I managed to get an A+ in English and a C1 in CEFR Common European Framework of Reference. Before I start, I would like to thank everyone for supporting me behind the scenes. Thank you for giving your trust to me and being a part of my SPM journey. I know learning English is hard, especially when you come from an environment where you don't practice the English language that much. However, believe in and put trust in yourself that there will always be a way for you to achieve something high. π
As you all know, English has 4 papers: reading π, writing π, speaking π and listening π. Each of the papers has its own total mark, and only 25% will be taken from each paper to be totalled up to 100%. Which means Readingβ25%, Writingβ25% and so on. So, in order to get an excellent grade in English, you must excel and do well in these 4 papers.
Now, I want to share with everyone how I managed to improve my English:
1. As for reading, I usually do exercises either from an exercise book, pass trial papers, or any exercises that I find online. The more exercise and practice I do, the more I can familiarise myself and improve my grammar and understanding. This works very well on me. π«‘
2. Not only that, I do read English books π; novels and documentaries. When you read a lot, you tend to gain more knowledge and improve your reading skills.
3. As for writing, I read a lot of essays online; they can be articles, reviews, reports and emails. In reading, I prefer to construct an article, reviews and a report; meanwhile, a story is quite challenging for me as it must be more specific in certain parts. I believe there are a lot of examples of essays that you can find online; everything is on the tip of our fingers now. π²
4. Don't forget to learn and remember the formats of each writing, whether in a certain part you need a title or not, dates, addresses, full names, etc. Always reconfirm with your teacher too about writings.
5. As for speaking, I understand some people; they are not fluent in English, and some people get the idea, but they don't know you to spill it out. Confidence and nervousness too. However, for the speaking part, I will do a class (if time permits) to explain specifically about speaking.
6. As for listening, for me, listening is not that difficult. But sometimes listening can be perilous when you make a slight mistake. I usually listen to podcasts and stories in English, either from radio or social media. From there, I'm able to improve my listening skills. Plus, I was a debater when I was in school, and listening plays a main role in debating.
7. Won't forget about idioms and vocabularies too! I really 100% encourage you all to use idioms and vocabularies in all parts of the English test, ESPECIALLY writing and speaking. Who knows? If you use idioms and vocabularies, you have the possibility to gain more marks!! π
I know some of you guys are quite nervous and scared. HEY, don't be afraid of failure and mistakes. As I said before, Rome wasn't built in a day. Put in your efforts and trust yourself. Even if you fail, you still have more time to fix the failure. Remember that! That's all I can say for now. Anything more I will add up later. Goodbye!! π€π€π€
