Thousands of people, under the slogan "Let's Block Everything," took to the streets of 90 Italian cities today to denounce the genocide of the Palestinian people and the complicity of the Italian government.

Clashes with riot police broke out at some demonstrations when police attempted to prevent the blockade of highways, train stations, and ports.

The general strike in support of the people of the Gaza Strip and the Global Sumud Flotilla was called by grassroots unions and involved all sectors, from local public transport to railways, from schools to healthcare.
