The Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, a true engineering marvel, took over 33 years to complete, finally opening in December 1864. The journey began in 1829 when a competition was launched to design the bridge. At the young age of 24, Isambard Kingdom Brunel secured the commission for the bridge's design, marking the beginning of an ambitious and groundbreaking project.
