We are in the Derbyshire village of Stoney Middleton, to look at the mines, caverns, and deadly pathways once used by the people of the village as far back as the 1700s.

We start by walking across 'Windy Ledge', a path that rivals 'Giddy Edge' as the most dangerous pathway in England.

From there we climb into old lead mine workings and explore the tragic tale of a local boy that went missing in the late 1980s, only to be found in these workings, a year later.

We then walk up to Hanging Flat mine, openied in the 1800s by the Needham brothers, it working right up until the 1980s, and the mining equipment, rails, tubs, and tippers, are all still inside.
