Some visual reports from #intergeo β the leading geotech #Expo in Europe.
The main results of my ground survey are that no expo in Germany works without beer πΊ (confirmed by Natasha from @cartetika_channel).
Geoalert was featured at the #Geocloud's booth as we've configured MapflowβQGIS to be used with their virtual instances.
I've met with the data partners β those we have long-term cooperation with and those, with whom we've just started conceptualizing and discussing the new products. π€
AI, #GeoAI, Mapping AI, whatever you call it, is a hot topic, yeah. Even though I missed most of the presentations at the open stage I've come across a few amazing and meaningful collaborations between AI developers and Geospatial survey companies.
Very few software startups were presented. The reason number one β the event is occupied by vendors. The next reason... well, check the #Cesium-acquired-by-Bentley's booth. You know, when there are guys with aerial drones, airships and robodogs who are carrying the preinstalled geodesic equipment it doesnβt make a great impression to showcase your slides on a plasma. π

This mapping showcase (via @datainthecity) requires a bit of clarification. The map of Iranian missile strikes on Israel shows the alerting zones, not the strikes.
The rest is mostly true: some countries got pubs, some β missile attacks.

#Docs: Note that in the #Maplfow 2.0 release we have joined all the platformβs APIs. To help active users manage their workflows, the projects created in Mapflow Web are temporarily marked with the label "WEB".
All the projects are accessible using any client's applications powered by Mapflow API (including Mapflow-#QGIS plugin).

π°πΏ Registration for #GIS Day #conference, Kazakhstan is open. It will take place at Satbayev University, Almaty, on November 21-22. We are supporting the development and promotion of GIS technologies in Central Asia (and we don't stick to ArcGIS technologies at the same time!) so we look forward to participating in and supporting the event.

π #Mapflow major update β Project Sharing!
Mapflow is often used by corporate users who juggle multiple accounts or share a single account within their team.
While we've been keen on implementation of some collaborative tools to encourage corporate users to create team accounts, we started with team balance. It allows Team Owner to share credits with the team members and manage the balance.
Whatβs New?
Today we're thrilled to announce a major update that takes team collaboration to the next level by providing the Project sharing functionality to all Mapflow users.
The workflow is pretty simple:
1) You can share your project with anyone in the Team and assign his role as needed.
2) Your collaborators will see the shared projects in their dashboard and do whatever they want according to their project role.
The Team creation is still limited to non-corporate users but we'd love to help you get started. Just drop a message to our support team, and we can help you organize team workflows in Mapflow.
Weβre looking to implement more collaborative tools and we'd love your feedback on this new feature. Try it out, share your thoughts, and enjoy a smoother AI mapping experience! π

The past month was quite usually busy for the Geoalert team.
1) We finished #Mapflow 2.0 and Project sharing milestones (w/o the Team billing so far which will arrive next)
2) -2 team members and +2 team members: Hrant and Manap. So the #team size remains stable )) We are looking for more people to join our team in November-December but the hiring process is not going so fast
3) We started planning our next team and partner #meeting this year, stay tuned π’π’π’
4) We keep working on custom projects: good progress with the implementation, low progress with the storytelling about the project results. Couldn't we update our blog more frequently?
Here we'd like to highlight that the validation speed of the Mapflow custom project results has increased x3 times, if not more. This showcases the effective human-in-the-loop validation where we use our own platform, while cartographers use automatic results and improve them.
5) We have too many milestones in progress and keep underestimating our timeline with the internal product releases. Not so cool.
6) We started doing yet another collaboration with the data provider partners and made some plans before the end of the year - to be announced later on. This time it's not like some developers <> big guys on behalf of the provider, but more like a partnership and investment initiative. We will see.

The developers of Spatial Manager for AutoCAD (the popular plugin to manage geodata in #AutoCAD and other CAD tools) share the use case of importing and visualizing #Mapflow AI results with their software.
Spatial Manager directly supports GeoJSON format so there is no need to convert Mapflow AI data to DWG, it can be seamlessly incorporated into #AutoCAD, #BricsCAD, #ZWCAD, or #GstarCAD.
For those who work with CAD tools, it's worth reading the detailed description on their website and watching the video.
In conjunction, Mapflow and Spatial Manager products can bring AI imagery analysis directly to your CAD projects:
- Mapflow generates vector data from aerial images
- Spatial Manager integrates the vector data into your CAD platform

New #userguide β How to check images metadata in the π Global mosaic
Not every imagery basemap contains metadata (the description and the cutlines of the single images it's composed of). #Mapbox Satellite for example doesn't support an API to search for the metadata so there is no specific information about the image capturing date.
In Mapflow we enabled the search for mosaic's metadata. Here we published a short guide on how you search it using the plugin for #QGIS.
Of course all the methods are supported in Mapflow Data #API and the implementation into the web app is in progress.

New commercial π Global mosaic is an annually updated satellite imagery composite covering most of the World. The mosaic is composed of "Jilin" Chinese satellites imagery (RGB, 0.75β0.5 m/px). The preview is limited to zoom 12.
