British wizards celebrate Christmas because they are British
It really is that simple. You get into a discussion about wizards and religion, but British wizards are British, and so they celebrate Christmas. While lots of wizards are pretty isolated from Muggle society, it is only natural for them to be influenced culturally by the people they have lived amongst for more than a thousand years.
