Today a spambot sent a message in our groupchat without being a member, even though this option was enabled. Telegram is becoming increasingly unsafe, and at the same time it's being filled with premium garbage and ads for AI slop and cryptoscams. Many doubts have also aroused concerning the use of Telegram as a surveillance tool, both in Russia and EU. The complete lack of transparency in its management and development makes it clear that we cannot stay here forever.

Some months ago I created a Signal chat for the people from this community, if you are interested ask me in the current telegram groupchat and i'll send you the invite link (i'm not posting it here to avoid attracting spam/chasers/other bad actors)

It's not just an impression btw, ads are indeed increasing

(Kind reminder that we are not responsible for the ads on our channels... We technically can disable them, but it also costs users' money)

Just a clarification: we forwarded the post as to add our own thoughts to the matter, and because we agree that Telegram is shifting in a very unfavourable and not user friendly way
