MIT just built an AI that can rewrite its own code to get smarter ๐Ÿคฏ

Itโ€™s called SEAL (Self-Adapting Language Models).

Instead of humans fine-tuning it, SEAL reads new info, rewrites it in its own words, and runs gradient updates on itself literally performing self-directed learning.

The results?

โœ… +40% boost in factual recall
โœ… Outperforms GPT-4.1 using data it generated *itself*
โœ… Learns new tasks without any human in the loop

LLMs that finetune themselves are no longer sci-fi.

We just entered the age of self-evolving models.

Today is Charlie Kirkโ€™s birthday.

He should be turning 32

But instead , President Trump will be posthumously awarding Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Letโ€™s never forget Charlieโ€™s devotion to God and his love of this amazing country! #HappyBirthdayCharlie

Amazing what can happen when you just unapologetically value the rights of citizens over criminals.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Almost a dozen major news outlets, both Conservative and Liberal, including The Atlantic, Associated Press, Axios, CNN, Guardian, Newsmax, New York Times, NPR, Reuters, Washington Post, and Washington Times, have announced their refusal to agree to a new set of rules and restrictions placed on journalists covering the Pentagon under Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, which reporters will be required to sign their agreement to by Tuesday or risk losing their press passes at the Pentagon.

The Pentagon Press Association, which represents all reporters from all organizations working under the umbrella of the Pentagon Press Corps, has called the new restrictions a threat to the First Amendment, stating that the restrictions intend to โ€œgag Pentagon employees and threatens retaliation against reporters who seek out information that has not been pre-approved for release.โ€ While media outlets have stated that this โ€œpledgeโ€ is part of a broader effort since January by the Trump Administration to limit information being provided to the public about goings-on within both the Pentagon and the U.S. Armed Forces.

So far only one outlet, One America News (OAN), has stated their intention to sign the pledge from the Pentagon.
