sugary sauces like ketchup or whatever last way more than 2 years. same for canned foods and rice (as long as its sealed)
pasta does last for years, but will start to get texturey after the first one, and tastey after the second. its still perfectly edible by three years
chocolate also lasts years, assuming its refrigerated. yes, even the real, non-yankee chocolate.
yogurts is very YMMV, but around here they're still okay up to 1y after expiration date usually. unsure about farther than that. again, refrigerated etc
meat lasts very little in fridge, but many years if frozen. taste gets ehh after the first year i've been told, i dont really notice it
milk here can be just fine half a year after the date etc
its the same shit as always: things are very different in countries with humiliatingly low food quality/health standards, so take this sort of things as the regional stuff they are, this arent universal rules

cereals, dry goods, cookies, that shit also go for years, but they get very texture. the general rule is, if they're more sugar than corn wheat, they last forever as long as it isnt open
condiments lose some flavor but thats literally it. baking powder works just fine at least 5 years after its date, more like 10
i have not met an expired candy in my life. i dont know anyone who has. do they get texturey? yes. are they still candy? also yes
do not try to fuck around with baby food. that much is true.
i always jump too fast at posts like this darn it
