New beta version is out!
1.0.7 (TD 1.8.13)

This version is beta, because of two unstable features. When they will be tested properly, it will be pushed to stable.

Changes:

UNSTABLE: New JSON config option net_speed_boost to increase upload/download speeds.
Values: null (default), "low", "medium", "high".

1.0.9 (TD 1.8.15)

This beta brings settings menu: Settings > Kotatogram Settings. I'm planning to do all current settings in this menu, and then push to stable.

Currently supported settings:
• Sticker height
• Big emoji outline
• Always show scheduled

Of forks and clones

Initially my repository was a direct fork. It seemed convenient at first, but soon I ran into some problems.

The thing is that forks doesn't fit well, when you do something stand-alone, they fit more for pull requests.

Forks' features:
• No more than one fork for one account. You can make organization and fork there, but if there is already fork of original repo, then you get no more than one direct fork.
• Comparsion with default branch of oringinal repo. On main page of your fork you see difference with original.
• No converting to private repo if original is public. You should copy it to yours repo first.
• Fork commits are excluded from profile statistics. Instead they are included for original repo after merge. Bonus: you can't pin fork in your profile if you don't have it on account, even if you're working on it.
• Can't search repository code. It might come in handy, when you're doing something standalone.

Maybe forks have some other restrictions, but I switched from fork to clone because of search. Since my client is at early stage, it wasn't long. I lost only 1 watch and 3 stars.

Old one was archived. It's available for now, but I plan to remove it soon since there is no need in it.

Version 1.0.10 beta is out!

There are some problems with Linux build, so it will be tomorrow. Since #Windows Build is ready, I'm dropping it now.

Changes:

— New settings menu if you don't like JSON for some reason. "scales" key is not here yet.
— Removed start options for setting fonts, since it was replaced by JSON and menu configs.
— Some redesigns for admin ranks in profile list and hidden phone number. Also group owner rank now has different color.
— More app name replacements to differ from original Telegram Desktop.
— New hotkeys: Ctrl+LMB to hide pinned message, even if you're an admin, Ctrl+LMB and Ctrl+Enter to mention without username when suggested.
— Highlight specific media in album when opened from reply, link or search.
— Ghost icon in dialogs and status "account inaccessible" for deleted accounts. Status "account inaccessible" is shown even in block list.

Fixes:

— Fixed opening of hashtag with archive opened.

Also I've decided to create chat. Since my audience is mostly Russian, I'm linking it to Russian channel. English speakers are welcome there too. If there will be enough non-Russian speakers, I'll create an English chat too.

What is chat for:
— Bug reports.
— Feature suggestions.
— Update discussions.

Off-topic chat will be created too if needed.

How to join: open @kotatogram_ru and click "Discuss" button in profile (or "Discuss" button in bottom if you're subscribed).

Also Kotatogram update will be tomorrow. It will only update TDesktop sources to 1.9.1. Since TD 1.9.1 is beta, it will be in beta branch too.
