After I successfully settled Howard K. Stern’s defamation case against Texas Billionaire Lawyer John O’Quinn (now deceased) who was the attorney for Virgie Arthur, Anna Nicole Smith’s mother, Arthur filed a defamation case against Howard and others, including Art Harris who worked for a CBS entity at the time.

CBS’ attorneys, Charles “Chip” Babcock and his associate at Jackson Walker, Amanda L. Bush, worked with me on the defense of the Arthur lawsuit. We were ultimately successful in the defense of the Arthur lawsuit.

I have some interesting stories about working with Chip and Amanda on that case, but I will save them for another time.

I remember after a deposition in the Arthur v. Stern case in Texas, Amanda Bush told me she was headed to Houston, Texas for a family weekend celebration for the birthday of her grandmother in law, Barbara Bush, the wife of Bush 41.
