It is used to help relieve pressure on the brain when fluid, such as blood, in this case of haematoma, builds up and starts to compress brain tissue.

Okay how to close those holes after ?

The surgeon may need to place a temporary drain until all of the fluid has been removed. At the end of your burr hole drainage surgery, the incision will be closed with sutures or staples.
Interesting isn’t?
