I just knew that it Takes about 20 surgeons in the operating room for “Separation surgery of Conjoined Twins”

one of the most challenging surgical operations.
a process that involved clipping and separating shared veins, spinal cords, blood transfusions etc…

There’s a lot of Complications in this surgery such as organ failure, skin defects, surgical infection, bleeding, injury to internal organs and/or vasculature, and failure to complete the procedure.

The first successful separation surgery of conjoined twins was recorded in Germany, in 1689. By doctor Johannes Fatio.

Would like to Inform you more about the whole procedure of this Surgery when I read more about it in another time..

A serious interesting case

The doc need to monitor the intracranial pressure to save the patient’s life

And that happens to be done by using
“A burr hole procedure”

Which is a one or more small holes are drilled in the skull and a flexible rubber tube is inserted to drain the haematoma.

It is used to help relieve pressure on the brain when fluid, such as blood, in this case of haematoma, builds up and starts to compress brain tissue.
