Ibn Sammak said:

“How many of those who remind us of Allah have themselves forgotten about him! How many of those who call to fear Allah are bold in front of Him! How many of those who bring others closer to Allah, but are far from Him! How many of those who call to Allah run away from Him! How many of the readers of the book of Allah have themselves flown out of the verses of Allah!”

Al Hasan Al Basrī رحمه الله:

"Beware of 3 matters - do not give Shaytān control of yourself in them

• Do not be alone with a woman even if you intend to teach her the Qur'ān

• Do not enter upon the Sultān (ruler) even if you intend to enjoin him to do good and forbid him from evil

• Do not accompany a person of Bid'ah for he will sicken your heart and spoil your faith"

Ibn 'Abbas may Allah be pleased with him said:

- “O sinner! do not feel safe from a bad end, because what follows sin is more serious than the sin that you committed.

The fact that you are not ashamed of those (angels recording deeds) who are on your right and left, and continue to sin, is worse than sin itself.

you laugh when you don’t know what Allah will do to you, this is more than sin itself.

your joy in sin, which you have acquired worse than sin itself.

and your sorrow for the sin you missed is worse than sin!”

However, worldly entertainment and amusements do not last long. the person dies and ends up in the grave. there the veil of oblivion is removed from him, and he finds himself powerless to regain what he has lost.

Ramadan Reminders 💗

There comes in the authentic Sunnah that Prophet ☁️ used to give glad tidings to his companions on the arrival of this month.

It has been narrated that the Prophet ☁️ would say to his companions,

"Ramadān has come to you, a blessed month, which Allāh has obligated you to fast. In it the gates of Heaven are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained up. There is a night in it, which is better chan a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of its goodness is indeed deprived."

[Şahih: Related by Ahmad (no. 7148) and al-Nasāī (no. 2106)]

"Ramadān has come to you," meaning prepare to host this noble guest and prepare to welcome him with the best hospitality and to fulfill his rights.

And get yourselves ready to do this, because as he arrives quickly he also quickly departs. So prepare yourselves for this and get yourselves ready to carry out these praiseworthy actions, excellent acts of obedience and forms of worship that you would love to meet your Lord with.

The Muslim should welcome the month of Ramadān properly. This is something in which the people differ greatly: the way that they welcome the month of Ramadān.

[The Month Of Ramadãn Has Arrived | Shaykh Abd al-Razzaq Ibn Abd al-Muhsin al-Abbad]

Emotional incident of Umar ibn al-Khattab رضي الله عن advising a sinner — Shaykh Abdur Razzaq al Badr حفظه الله
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said:

وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ لَمْ تُذْنِبُوا لَذَهَبَ اللَّهُ بِكُمْ وَلَجَاءَ بِقَوْمٍ يُذْنِبُونَ فَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ اللَّهَ فَيَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ

By Him in whose hand is my soul, if you did not sin, Allah would replace you with people who would sin and they would seek forgiveness from Allah and He would forgive them.

Source: Sahīh Muslim 2749
Al-‘Allāmah Ibn ‘Uthaymīn (رحمه الله) said:

Allāh — the Mighty and Majestic — is All-Wise; He may afflict a person with sin in order to rectify his condition.

[Sharḥ Al-Mumti‘ (3/51) ]
Imām Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Allāh has placed in the nature of a man an inclination towards a woman, just like the inclination of a thirsty person towards water and
that of a hungry person towards food, to the point that many people may be patient with food and drink, but not with women”

[Ad-Dā' wad-Dawā' | Page 483]
Shaykh Ibn al-'Uthaymīn رحمه الله:

The bigger desire you have for a sin, the bigger is your imaan if you leave it.
[فتح الرب صفحة ١٠٥]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

"If Allāh opens for you the door of standing in Qiyām al-Layl (i.e. the night prayer), then do not look at those who are sleeping with a look of disdain.

And if Allāh opens for you the door of fasting, then do not look at those who break their fast with a look of disdain.

And if Allāh opens for you the door of jihād, then do look at those who sit behind and do not participate with a look of disdain.

Perhaps the one who sleeps, breaks his fast and sits behind, is closer to Allāh than you!

And indeed spending the entire night sleeping and waking up with regret (from missing the night prayer) is better than standing (for it) and waking up admiring oneself. For indeed, the actions of the one who admires himself are not accepted."

[Madārij al-Sālikīn, 1/177]
Al-Awzā’ī رحمه الله said:

"Whoever prolongs his nightly prayer, will be granted ease in his standing before Allah on the Day of Judgment."

[Siyar a’lām al-nubalā’,Volume 2 page 120]
Shaykh ‘Abdur-Razzāq al-Badr حفظه الله mentioned that an old man came to him and said:

“O Shaykh I have not memorised anything of Quran except for Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Al-Ikhlaas and I stand in prayer every night for 2 hours…”

then he began to cry and asked:

“O Shaykh is it permissible for me to keep repeating them (the two surahs in every prayer)?'”

Shaykh ‘Abdur-Razzāq al-Badr حفظه الله said,

“Look at this one and his 'Ibaadah and look at the one who has memorized all of the Quran yet he sleeps until the Fajr prayer.”

[Sharh Akhlaaq Hamlat Al-Qur’an of al-Ajuriyy رحمه الله , Tape no. 12, Explained by Shaykh Abdur Razzaq al-Badr حفظه الله]
