3/ motile ( peritrichous flagella)
4/ non spore forming bacteria
5/lactose fermenter
6/ produce gas
7/ Catalase positive, oxidase negative, indol positive
8/Mesophlic
9/part of gut normal flora
10/ produce Endotoxins and 3 enterotoxins
11/ produce shiga toxin
12/strains : ETEC, EHEC, UPEC and EIEC
13/on Makconkey produce pink colonies
14/ on EMB give green metallic sheen
15/ on blood agar.. Beta hemolytic colonies

2/ facultative anaerobe
3/ motile ( peritrichous flagella)
4/ non lactose fermenter
5/spp: S. Typhi, S. Para A, Para B, Para c and S. Typhimurium
6/ capsular antigen of S. Typhi called (vi antigen)
7/ produce Endotoxins, enterotoxins, cytotoxins and Typhoid toxin
8 /on Makconkey produce colorless colonies
9/ on XLD... Red colonies with black centers
10/ Catalase positive and oxidase negative
11/ all salmonella spp produce H2s except Para A
12/ all salmonella spp produce Gas except A. typhi
13/ all salmonella spp negative VP, positive MR, negative urease, negative indol and all are motile
14/ Para A and S. typhi negative citrate
15/ para B, C and S. typhimurium positive citrate

6/ Oppertunistic bacteria causes many diseases (UTI, RTI, woud infections.....)

8/ swarmming motility (virulence associated behavior)
9/on Makconkey produce colorless colonies
10/ on blood agar non hemolytic ( swarmming phenomenon)
11/ Catalase positive and oxidase negative
12/on KIA.. H2s and gas
13/ urease positive, VP negative, MR positive
14/differentiation by indol test:
P. vulgaris indol positive
P. mirabilis indol negative
15/ P. vulgaris citrate negative
