⚙️ Moonriver has been upgraded to Runtime 2302, which brings a number of improvements to Moonriver including an upgrade to XCM v3.

This was part of an accelerated upgrade schedule to bring Runtime 2302 to Moonbeam sooner.

The Moonbeam Council and Technical Committee has expedited Runtime 2302 with a voting period of 24 hours. Voting ends at ~18:00 UTC.

This planned upgrade was expedited to bring dynamic fee functionality to Moonbeam sooner. If approved, it ensures transactions on the network are properly priced based on block congestion (similar to EIP-1559). This is a measure to slow the transactions that are increasing the size of the chain state.

🗳️ Referendum 13 is up to vote until ~Tuesday, May 23. If passed, a new process for listing ERC-20s on the Moonbeam DApp will be added in an upcoming Runtime Upgrade. Runtime Upgrade (2400 or 2500) will include the capability for any native ERC-20 to be bridged from Moonriver to any other connected parachain on Kusama.

🗳️ Referendum 98 is up to vote until ~Friday, May 19. If passed, this fast-tracked proposal will accept/open an HRMP channel with HydraDX and register HDX as an XC-20 asset. This will establish a bi-directional channel between HydraDX and Moonbeam and allow for cross-chain GLMR/HDX token transfers.

The council and technical Committee have decided to fast track this proposal as Referendum 95 has failed on enactment due to an issue in which the XCM Transactor Pallet crafted an XCM V3 message that could not be converted to XCM V2.

Referendum 16 is up to vote until ~Wednesday, May 31. If passed, this batched proposal will accept/open an HRMP channel with Mangata Network and register MGX as an XC-20 asset. This will establish a bi-directional channel between Manta and Moonriver and allow for cross-chain MOVR/MGX token transfers.

Expect chaos. Due to a misconfiguration in the original proposal, the enactment failed in OpenGov. This is the first HRMP channel to be opened through OpenGov. Moving forward, community members will be the ones who make proposals to open new XCM integrations in addition to voting in on-chain governance.
