1. A couple engaging in obscene acts in a car near Narmada Canal represents antisocial behavior. Police inaction allows such behavior to persist.

2. Robbers targeting and blackmailing such couples indicate visible signs of crime.

3. A recent incident involved a naked man and his girlfriend engaging in obscene acts in a car, leading to a robbery and his murder—an escalation of crime.

One more angle: Journalistic Ethics Dilemma:

The Indian Express omitted details (e.g., the man was naked) to protect the victim’s dignity,

while a Gujarati newspaper reported the full incident that victim man was naked, couple’s obscene acts, which emboldened robbers.

Should journalists report all facts accurately or withhold details to preserve a victim’s dignity?

- Since my college days (2003-07), I’ve seen many UPSC Chairmans and committees propose reducing attempts and age limits, but they’ve never done it.

- Bcoz, the ruling party has to win elections, and UPSC jobs have a social justice aspect, as many SC/ST/poor households see them as their only escape from persecution.

- Rahul Gandhi’s campaigns on reservation and samvidhaan khatre mein hai have put the government on the backfoot regarding lateral entry. So Modi-ji unlikely to tinker with age-attempt any time soon.
