🇷🇺🇮🇱 Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the State of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu

🔸The two leaders had a thorough discussion of the latest developments in the Middle East, in particular in light of the plan to normalise the situation in Gaza, put forward by the President of the United States. Vladimir Putin has reiterated Russia's steadfast support for resolving the issue of Palestine comprehensively using the well-known basis of international law.

🔸In addition, there was an exchange of views on several other regional matters. Notably, interest was expressed in searching for ways to settle the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear programme and to stabilise the situation in Syria further via negotiations.

🔸As tomorrow marks Vladimir Putin's birthday, the Prime Minister of Israel gave the Russian President his best wishes.

🔸In turn, the President of Russia offered Benjamin Netanyahu and the people of Israel greetings for the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

🔹The leaders of member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, including Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, have all called Vladimir Putin to give him their best wishes.

🔹During the phone calls, the development of bilateral relations with respective countries was discussed. In addition, the joint work to be done during the upcoming meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council, to be held in Dushanbe, was addressed.

🔹All the leaders of CIS member states have also sent the President of Russia messages of greetings.

Both sides expressed interest in developing the special and privileged strategic partnership between India and Russia and briefly discussed preparations for the President of Russia's upcoming visit to India, to be made in December this year.

The two leaders briefly discussed several pressing bilateral matters before exchanging views on the latest developments in the Middle East, as well as those pertaining to Ukraine.

They agreed to maintain contact.
On October 8–10, Vladimir Putin will make a state visit to Tajikistan and will attend the second Russia–Central Asia Summit as well as a meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council

🔹The President's state visit will include talks with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The two leaders are to discuss the development of the strategic partnership and allied relationship between Russia and Tajikistan in various areas. A joint statement by the heads of state, as well as a number of international, intergovernmental, and interdepartmental agreements are to be signed following the talks.

🔹The agenda of the second Russia–Central Asia Summit will include issues pertaining to further strengthening of cooperation between Russia and the nations of the region in trade and economy, finance, industry, logistics, energy, and other sectors. Particular attention will be paid to the issue of ensuring regional security in light of the tense situation in both Afghanistan and the Middle East. A final communiqué and a Joint Action Plan for 2025–2027 are to be adopted.

🔹The meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council will serve as an opportunity to address the practical dimension of cooperation within the CIS, establish key areas for future work, and discuss pressing international and regional issues. A number of important documents will be adopted, including in particular external border security cooperation programmes for 2026–2030, programmes for combating terrorism and extremism for 2026–2028, a concept for military cooperation until 2030, a joint statement on cooperation in countering transnational crime, and a declaration on cooperation in ensuring regional energy security. In addition, the meeting is to approve the decisions to establish the CIS Plus format and to grant observer status in the CIS to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

🔹Additionally, while in Dushanbe, Vladimir Putin is to hold bilateral meetings with a number of foreign leaders.
As part of his working trip to the Northwestern Federal District, Vladimir Putin made a visit to St Petersburg's Peter and Paul Cathedral together with senior officials of the Defence Ministry and the General Staff, as well as commanders of force groupings taking part in the special military operation

The President of Russia presented Emomali Rahmon with the painting Tajik Friends by the Soviet artist Max Birshtein as well as Tajiks, a book on the history of the Tajik people.
