The President held a meeting on education
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov, and Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov delivered reports.
🔹Dmitry Chernyshenko briefed the president on the development of Russia's education infrastructure. As per the President's instruction, Russia now ranks among the top ten countries in terms of education quality.
🔹Sergei Kravtsov spoke about this year's school examinations (including the Unified State Exam). The Minister noted that Russian secondary school graduates displayed particular interest in vocational education, and vocational schools were becoming more and more popular. For instance, in 2025, 200,000 more applications were submitted to vocational schools compared to the previous year.
🔹Valery Falkov emphasised in his report the growing accessibility of higher education in Russia: in total, Russian universities offer 619,000 state-funded places, 73% of which are offered by higher education institutions outside of Moscow and St Petersburg.
🔹At the conclusion of the meeting, Dmitry Chernyshenko briefed the President on the current situation in the tourism industry. According to the official, domestic tourism could reach 98 million trips this year.

The Governor briefed the President on the social and economic development of the region, detailing in particular steps to support healthcare and education. The issue of handling industrial and household waste was addressed separately.
In addition, Vyacheslav Gladkov updated the President on assistance measures for veterans, including the operations of the Centre for Adaptive Sports, as well as the interregional Orthotics Innovation Centre.

The President has approved a list of instructions following the May 22, 2025 meeting with Government members
In particular, Vladimir Putin instructed the Government:
🔹to ensure, in cooperation with the Presidential Executive Office and the executive bodies of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk regions and in conjunction with the Defence Ministry, the Interior Ministry, and the Emergencies Ministry, that a programme is established and implemented to restore and develop comprehensively the territories affected by shelling by Ukrainian military outfits or terror attacks, paying particular attention to enlisting cooperation of heads of affected communities as well as volunteer organisations and other grassroots groups;
🔹to establish, in cooperation with the executive bodies of the Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk regions, a list of priority tasks to be solved to provide aid to citizens living in the territories affected by shelling by Ukrainian military outfits or terror attacks, as well as organisations operating in these territories and secure financing for solving these tasks, including from the federal budget, paying special attention to preparing and executing the resettlement of citizens from the affected territories, and providing compensation for any damage caused to the affected enterprises and for lost income to utility providers;
🔹to take steps, in cooperation with the Russian National Guard, the Emergencies Ministry, the Federal Security Service, and the executive bodies of Russia's constituent entities, to ensure the infrastructure (and premises) of children's recreational facilities comply with all requirements in terms of safety and anti-terrorist security.
