Trump admin tried to take some credit for the ceasefire which failed so quickly. But Indian govt is saying that there was no role of USA. It was directly worked out between the two countries. No neutral or third party involved.

Multi level attack by Pakistan. Attempts of infiltration by terrorists in Nagrota thwarted by Indian soldiers.

China has issued this statement in support of Pakistan. They are indicating Pakistan that they have their back.

Suddenly things are stopping? This is next level of confusion today.
Foreign Secretary is coming to brief media in some time. One more media brief. We can only hope some clarity.

I just heard the press briefing. It was a very short one.

"We are taking note of violation, we are responding appropriately and requesting Pak to stop."

This is a huge let down. I don't know what is cooking. But this is let down. At this juncture we are supposed to be furious.

I really hope that the govt knows better and is wiser than us.

This is all weird. This didn't even require PC. There was nothing in it. It could be more of a signalling rather than briefing.

Who is signalling what to whome? There are two very wild theories.

1. India wants to project good image of peace loving nation to garner global support and then launch full scale attack as legitimate victim.
OR
2. China wanted seat at the table. It didn't like US brokered peace and thus made Pakistan to break it. Once it gets seat at table it would broker peace. That is why India is still restrained.

Shahbaz Sharif is going to address the media by 11.35 PM it seems. Let's wait and see what happens now.

It was totally hollow speech. It was only thank you speech.

Not a word about anything specific. Didn't speak a word on ceasefire. Didn't speak a word on violation of ceasefire.

Or was it a Victory speech??? When did Pakistan win the war which was never declared??
