Nambala Keshav Rao is killed by the security forces of India today. The news is just coming out. It was Operation Black Forest.

This is really a very important strategic development. He died in exchange of fire in Narayanpur district of Chattisgarh today. He had studied in NIT Warangal and after Ganpathy he had become the General Secretary of CPI (Maoist) and thereby one of the most dreaded criminals in India.

You can see the list of India's most wanted criminals here. He was on that list.

Hello Aspirants;

There is a lot of discussion going on regarding UPSC being wrong in the official answer key of Prelims 2024.

Firstly the three questions are marked as cancelled. So, the paper was evaluated based on 97 questions only. Secondly, the debate regarding the Budget presentation question (PM or President) has raged. UPSC prima facie indeed seems to have made an error here. Then there is also doubt about answers given by UPSC for some questions related to SnT.

Some Youtubers will definitely make videos on this. They will also make it little provocative or emotional. It is called moment marketing, to capture the trend, generate engagement and garner subscribers. Their aim is not to help you clear UPSC Prelims 2025. They are here for social media followers. Please understand that.

There will also be some curious but unfortunate borderline cases of students who would have qualified 2024 Prelims, had it not been for such errors.

So, if you are appearing for 2025, don't bother about such discussion, either with friends or on social media. Just for 4 days, overlook all of this. UPSC will take its own course in due time. For you, your next 4 days are extremely important. Focus on that. In the time of stress and anxiety just before the exam, it is easy to get distracted towards such debates. Remember, we have ample time after the 25th of May for discussing these issues. Right now, every moment is crucial for you.

Pehle 2025 ka exam. Baadme 2024 ka discussion.

Indian Navy has inducted the Ship (INSV Kaundinya) at Karwar Naval Base today. This is made using an Ancient Stitched Sail technique.

Knowing a bit of maritime history and technology, I can assure you that this is indeed a very powerful symbolic assertion of India's historic role in Indian Ocean.

"INSV Kaundinya with her sails up. The β€œGandaberunda” or two headed bird was the royal insignia of the Kadamba kingdom who ruled the Konkan coast for centuries. Appropriate as the ship was built in Goa and inducted in Karwar." - Sanjeev Sanyal

Happy...!

The two articles published today on the stitched ship by Indian navy. One in Express, another in Hindu.

(On side note, despite being present at the event and writing about it, Sanjeev Sanyal's name is completely omitted by TheHindu. We can only guess why.)

This controversy denies to die.

Considering its massive significance that it can rewrite the timeline of history of ancient India, I think this is just the beginning. For many years to come, more and more debatable points are expected to come.

Why should we debate only about Harappan origin and Aryan origin, let's add Dravidian origin to it also.

Sabka vaad, sabka itihas.

Upcoming census is becoming very important with every new decision.

It will decide delimitation of parliamentary seats, financial allocation to states, kicking in of women's reservation and also the caste data. All these things are now hinged on the census.

I don't know if any single census in the past was so potent with possible consequences.

Dear aspriants,

The exam is just 24 hours away now. Make sure you spend these last 24 hours in a calm and positive way.

You’ve worked hard for months β€” that effort is within you. Trust it. Everything you’ve studied is stored in your mind. The moment you read the questions in the exam, the right answers will start surfacing β€” have faith in that.

Whether the paper feels easy or tough, don’t let it shake your focus. Stay steady. Read every question carefully, read all the options properly, and only then attempt the answer. Go one question at a time β€” complete the paper calmly and with full attention.

The more calm and steady you are, the better your performance will be.

Tonight itself, plan all the small but important things: how you’ll reach the centre, what time you’ll leave, keep your small snack box and water bottle ready, and most importantly, carry your pen, writing materials, and hall ticket without fail.

Go to the exam with a peaceful mind and a positive heart. And once you’re inside the exam hall β€” stay composed and confident.

Wishing you all the very best from the bottom of my heart!

Total of 16 History and Culture questions today in the paper.

History and Culture section was on the relatively easier and predictable side this year. Good.

As usual, all LevelUp faculty team will come Live today evening with answer discussion. We will not be in a hurry to go-first type. We will bring as much solid answer key as possible after thorough research.

Let me now see the rest of the paper...:)
Meanwhile, all the best for CSAT.
