Restored in our time, the small medieval Serbian monastery of Orahovo. While the site of worship traces its origins to the X century, current main church was built in the XVII century, as its ornate belfry suggests.

Ruined Olănescu mansion in Râmnicu Vâlcea - despite being of the most emblematic building of traditional Romanian architecture in the city, nowadays it is reduced to a mere ruin.

Hopefully, one day, its original appearance - captured with photos - will be restored.

Selivanovo estate, built in the XVIII century, remains almost unknown despite its fairly good preservation and proximity to Tula. Various sources indicate that the building was erected at the turn of the XVIII and XIX centuries - at the crossroads between Baroque and Classicism as is common for many other Russian estates - but unlike most such houses, its preserved decor is distinctly Baroque in spirit. Moreover, its character - robust yet sparse pilasters and modest rustication - suggests that the building was likely constructed in the genuine Baroque style, probably not at the very end of the XVIII century.

The new catholicon of the Lainici Monastery in Romania, built in the Neo-Romanian style, interestingly combining elements of both the Wallachian and Moldavian schools, based on the XVII century with some later elements, is, like all recent buildings of the monastery, not only architecturally interesting, but also a rare example of truly high-quality contemporary architecture in Romania.

The catholicon is also interesting from a conceptual point of view - as it is built on a slope, it consists of a lower and upper temple, which is more characteristic of the Russian tradition. The lower temple of the monastery, which suffered many misfortunes and was repeatedly destroyed by the Germans and Turks, is dedicated to the catacomb church and decorated with frescoes dedicated to that period of Christian history, while the upper temple is dedicated to church history after the Edict of Milan. Therefore, Byzantine motifs are also used in the decoration of the entire catholicon.
