Task 2: Problem/Solution
In recent decades human activities have caused great suffering to the environment due to developments in various fields. In my opinion, these problems can be addressed with the cooperation of the government and citizens.
To begin with, deforestation has become a common issue in many countries. The number of people worldwide is increasing, and consequently, the demand for new apartment complexes and furniture. As a result, logging companies are cutting down a large number of trees in forests, which not only harms the forest animals, but leads to poor air quality. This careless activity of people can negatively affect the balance of biodiversity. To eliminate this problem, the government can introduce hefty taxes on construction companies who rely heavily on wood as the main source of construction material. As a result, they will avoid using wood as a primary material, but start looking for ways that cost them less, perhaps, even coming up with a better and more environmentally friendly alternative.
Another common issue that exists today is exhaust fumes released by transportation, which is especially noticeable in cosmopolitan cities. These toxic fumes can affect the air quality detrimentally, thereby making it dangerous to inhale for people. For instance, recently, a news report appeared on social media, providing a chart of city rankings in terms of air quality. The most terrifying part was that Tashkent, capital city of Uzbekistan was ranked as the first on the list. As a result, doctors and scientists conducted research and associated this common problem with the ever-increasing cars in the city, which also triggered various allergies and respiratory illnesses among city residents. In order to solve this problem, in my opinion, people should opt for more environmentally friendly options for commuting to work or universities, such as bikes or e-cars. Those who cannot afford e-cars or if bikes are not very convenient for them, should use public transportation to reduce their carbon footprint.
In conclusion, people are harming the environment by clearing the forest areas and polluting the air, but these issues can be solved by imposing high taxes on logging activities and promoting environmentally friendly modes of transportation.

📊Task 1: Comparative Graphs (Bar Chart)
The bar chart compares four different countries in terms of coffee and tea imports, measured in tons.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that UK and USA import significantly more tea than coffee while the reverse is true for Canada and Germany. In addition, the disparities between the amounts of imported tea and coffee are considerable across countries, except for Germany whose figures for both beverages are almost the same.
The UK and USA bring in much higher quantities of tea compared to other countries, reaching a chart high of 160,000 tons and 110,000 tons, respectively. However, coffee imports of both countries are significantly lower, with UK importing 20,000 tons – half as much as the USA at 40,000 tons.
In stark contrast, Germany and Canada ship in more coffee than tea. Germany is the top coffee importer among the four countries, with just over 40,000 tons, whereas the figure for Canada is slightly lower, at 40,000 tons. With regard to tea, Germany brings in 40,000 tons – exactly twice as much as Canada, which imports 20,000 tons.
