📊Task 1: Comparative Graphs (Bar Chart)
The bar chart compares four different countries in terms of coffee and tea imports, measured in tons.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that UK and USA import significantly more tea than coffee while the reverse is true for Canada and Germany. In addition, the disparities between the amounts of imported tea and coffee are considerable across countries, except for Germany whose figures for both beverages are almost the same.
The UK and USA bring in much higher quantities of tea compared to other countries, reaching a chart high of 160,000 tons and 110,000 tons, respectively. However, coffee imports of both countries are significantly lower, with UK importing 20,000 tons – half as much as the USA at 40,000 tons.
In stark contrast, Germany and Canada ship in more coffee than tea. Germany is the top coffee importer among the four countries, with just over 40,000 tons, whereas the figure for Canada is slightly lower, at 40,000 tons. With regard to tea, Germany brings in 40,000 tons – exactly twice as much as Canada, which imports 20,000 tons.
